Daily Fail story here
21 babies! That's some achievement. I cannot believe her body is still in one piece. I feel sorry for those kids though. There's absolutely no way they can all have the individual attention they need growing up. Four kids maybe, perhaps 6 at an absolute push but 21 seems like collecting trophies for a hobby to me. It'd be interesting to see what families those children decide to have when the time comes. It seems like she's putting her own want for babies ahead of her existing children's wellbeing & that isn't healthy. I'm curious that she's practically guaranteed herself an endless supply of babies as her children have children. But they're supposedly paying for everything themselves so we're not allowed to say anything against them. I don't agree with it. Tell me I'm being U.

I’m not arsed about benefits etc but the sheer amount she must cost the NHS!

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 10/11/2018 17:44

Without being very crude and personal. How do they manage to constantly be making these babies with all those CHIldren to look after and sleepless nights ect.
I've got no little ones and can just about find the bloody time not to mention energy to fit dp in now
(pun intended) Grin

BlueLady your post reminds me of my dear old Mum when I wouldn't eat cabbage when I was little 'what about the poor starving children in Africa'.

We know there are children out there who have awful parents, NC famlies, vitriol about MILs - no one has said this is alright. Besides which we're not talking about them, that's a different thread. We're talking about the Radfords who choose to court publicity with their own TV show, youtube, blogs whatever. We are allowed an opinion and mine is... I think the children suffer because of the number of them.

Bluelady · 10/11/2018 17:51

My point clearly sailed over your head, Rousette. I was also talking about the Radleys.

mydogisthebest · 10/11/2018 17:56

bluelady, who the hell is talking about benefit fraud? They say they don't claim tax credits. They used to and lots of us think they still do. No one has said they are not entitled to them.

I get annoyed with them because 21 children is far too many. The planet is overpopulated so we really don't need this idiot family having so many children.

I am annoyed at how much they have cost this country in the cost for all the births, the cost of other medical treatment, the cost of dental work, the cost of schooling.

As another poster pointed out, the mum has more or less been pregnant constantly so will be entitled to free dental care. I can't afford to go to the dentist and nor can many people I know.

How much have all those births alone cost the NHS? Also why did she need to go into hospital to have so many of them. Why not at home? At least I assume that would be a bit cheaper.

I am also annoyed at all the child benefit they will have received (for around 30 years) and the tax credits. They have had a fortune over the years and I don't see they will ever pay even a fraction of that back into the system

mydogisthebest · 10/11/2018 17:57

It is obvious how they find time to "make more babies". They get the older girls to do all the looking after of the children once they are no longer cute little babies.

WhirlyGigWhirlyGig · 10/11/2018 18:06

Mum yes people do drop out of uni for a variety of reasons but the one reason why a child shouldn't drop out is to help their mother who keeps having babies. That is totally unacceptable if that's what a parent expects. I have no idea by the way if any of their children have dropped out but if they had and that was the reason cited then those parents would go even further down in my estimation.

mumto2babyboys · 10/11/2018 18:06

I've obv got 2 children not 21 and I'm getting divorced due to dv and I work ft and get nothing in benefits due to property and savings

Just asking for some proof they claimed tax credits. Surely someone can say which dates or which year etc and hmrc can check

Caprisunorange · 10/11/2018 18:07

I’m surprised that the subject of their ages keeps coming up with such shock. What do people actually think should be done about it? Surely Rochdale etc has shown that young girls getting pregnant but (much) older men is common place and accepted by the authorities in recent history, let alone 30 years ago.

WhirlyGigWhirlyGig · 10/11/2018 18:08

I should've also put it would be even worse if it was a daughter that was expected to drop out but a son could continue in education.
A parents job ideally should be to ensure their child has the best chance of a successful future, be that as a lawyer, Doctor, shop assistant or child minder.

mumto2babyboys · 10/11/2018 18:12

She was prob just homesick. When i went to uni before postgrad loads dropped out not because of the degree but because they missed home.

Pretty sure an adult can make their own decisions about living at home or not once they are 16 but she was at uni so she must have been at least 18 and maybe she missed her siblings too especially if they were like her own children and she had helped raised them

Roussette · 10/11/2018 18:13

No idea what you're saying Blue. You say we think it's alright for those things you list, yet the RADFORDS do everything fine.

mumto2babyboys · 10/11/2018 18:16

Can someone just post some link or evidence and settle my doubts please as it's also making me question other views on mn

Mum you’re being a tad dramatic

Caprisunorange · 10/11/2018 18:30

Mummy proof of what? What do you want, someone to hack into the HMRC database for you or something?

mumto2babyboys · 10/11/2018 18:30

Not dramatic just educated. You can't reference anything in education without actually referring it can you so cam these mn users who know the facts please back it up with evidence as I believed this family from watching their documentary
Then today after being told I was wrong several times I thought it was fake news

Then upon searching for the evidence later in today I can't find any expose or anything that backs up what you mn users are saying about this family claiming tax credits

I don't get tax credits there are limits on it, so how do they

Just show me some evidence or the name or date if he blog of the people who said they read it and it will be in a library somewhere like everything ever published ever

Caprisunorange · 10/11/2018 18:31

Didn’t you read the thread? MAny posters said it was disclosed on dues since deleted old blog

mumto2babyboys · 10/11/2018 18:32

Date of newspaper article to search. Every public library has everything ever published since before I born in archives

Caprisunorange · 10/11/2018 18:38

I think you’ve been very clearly told it was published in a blog

Much as id love to make up a paper and a date on the incredibly slim chance you actually trudge off to a library tomorrow to find it 🤣

smithsally884 · 10/11/2018 18:41

I would imagine nowadays most of their funding in cash and in kind , comes from publicity

having more children when you are a grandparent, that's just wrong on every level.
First time i've heard that.Why??

mumto2babyboys · 10/11/2018 18:43

Everything online has a history so it can be traced

So provide some facts or stop lying you guys. Making me feel it's a lot of nonsense which is why mn has such a bad reputation above the middle classes

Roussette · 10/11/2018 18:45

I don't care a fig about the money. It's the effect on the children that despite loving parents, there are too many of them to get the nurturing

mumto2babyboys · 10/11/2018 18:46

What blog and when and what year and date? I'm not a journalist but they have access to much more than me so why haven't any of them uncovered it and written an expose yet?

Does not add up you bunch of liars. If it's not lies then ok I'm wrong I'll happily admit I'm wrong just send me one shred of evidence

BrickByBrick · 10/11/2018 18:47

They have only ever said 'they claim what they are entitled to.' The claiming or not claiming of TC isn't really the issue but the whole thing of the media holding them up as being a wonderful family because he works is dreadful.

There is another large family (name escapes me) , both parents work part time to share the childcare and are honest in the fact they claim CTC. They have been absolutely vilified in the press.

Why the difference?
