I hadn't realised it was a possibility - and I find flights boring, not scary
I might choose a 🐒 for entertainment though

How about you ? .... 🐸 🦆 🦉 🦇 🐢 🦔 ?

US woman removed from plane after boarding with 'emotional support' squirrel

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/oct/10/us-woman-flight-plane-emotional-support-squirrel

Frontier Airlines ... said the passenger had noted in her reservation that she was bringing an emotional support animal – but she did not indicate it was a squirrel.
...
The incident followed others where an “emotional support peacock”, Dexter,
was barred from boarding a flight with its owner earlier this year
and, of course, Pebbles, the emotional support hamster, which ended up flushed down a toilet. Shock

The name of the squirrel has not yet been released. Wink

A good and actual support animal, though, would be a horse or a camel. What else could you ride with your hand luggage all the way to passport control and beyond?

TheNinjaWife · 12/10/2018 16:19

Although I’m a cat person I’d take a St Bernard. I’m a nervous flyer. A small barrel of brandy would come in quite handy before the drinks trolly arrived.

Kemer2018 · 12/10/2018 16:24

My cat. I know she'd skulk off somewhere but I'd like to have her there

fourquenelles · 12/10/2018 16:31

Capybara. Cute rodent. Biggest in world.

I love capybaras. They are adorable.

BigChocFrenzy · 12/10/2018 22:47

That's a clever idea, Lweji - combined support and luggage carrier

These husky pups are very cuddly and I could also harness them to a little trolley for my luggage

My giant dog is on Prozac and another sedative because she keeps getting beaten up by other dogs. Especially dachshunds. I would be her support animal and she would try and befriend the kitties and wonder why they smacked her nose. (She’s very cute, but she really doesn’t know how to dog.)

ContessasGulagSpaDay · 13/10/2018 06:03

I can't think what I would want to travel with on a plane, but I'm very up for traversing oceans in the belly of a whale - sounds like it could be rather restful. Of course navigation might be tricky, but at least you are insulated from other humans Grin

wafflyversatile · 13/10/2018 06:25

The good thing about capybara is all animals want to be their friend so you would get everyone elses comfort pet too.

The bad thing about capybara is I confuse them with chupacabra and no one would find one of those comforting on a flight.

My emotional support animal would have to be Donkey from Shrek. He's just adorable, handsome and would irritate the fuck out of all the other passengers who irritate the fuck out of me!

Just look at that face 😂😂🛫🛫🐴🐎🐎

Ok soontobe60 if we're going down the movie route, I'm having Falcor from Neverending Story.
I wouldn't even need a plane.

BigChocFrenzy · 13/10/2018 17:23

aw, justilou1 That's mean of the other dogs

She could make friends with some of the gentler support animals
and if she can't learn dog, maybe she could learn capybara

@BigChocFrenzy, I am 1 Bajillion % certain that they would scare the crap out of her! “Giant Pinny Gig!!! Gaaaaaaah!!!!” Poor Ivy is such a Nervous Nelly, but she’s so good at leaning and doing the “play with me” face with the giant, Japanese cartoon eyes, that we just have to keep her.

BigChocFrenzy · 14/10/2018 12:05

Ah, she really landed on all 4 paws when you chose her

Holy shit !
Everyone else on that flight wouldn't just need support animals - they'd be knocking back Valium in industrial quantities

< tries tactfully to say "Your tarantula is a fright" ! >
