I had to google epicaricacy. I love how you threw that in there!

I concur.

GunpowderGelatine · 17/09/2018 09:39

She called a child victim of sexual abuse a 'slag' for said abuse. She can fucking rot in hell and I'm delighted she's now bankrupt

GunpowderGelatine · 17/09/2018 09:39

Sorry not bankrupt but almost there

ShatnersWig · 17/09/2018 09:40

Schadenfreude and / or epicaricacy indeed!!! What goes around comes around....

beluga425 · 17/09/2018 09:55

That is a nice start to the week. Few people are more deserving of bankruptcy. Thank you karma.

longwayoff · 17/09/2018 09:59

Schadenfreude. Sometimes the world rewards as it should.

MamaBear2181 · 17/09/2018 10:02

Not unhappy to see her suffering another blow to her ego and bank account especially after her recent antics. She turned up a high school local to me, talked to and took photos of 11-12 year old boys then posted them on social media without permission from anyone, and painted them out to be thugs to boot. Vile cow, I hope karma has mountain after mountain of shite to bury her under.

cushioncovers · 17/09/2018 10:07

Goes off to google the big epic word op used. Grin

DontDribbleOnTheCarpet · 17/09/2018 10:08

I'm not taking any pleasure in it, but I'm a long way from feeling any sympathy for her. This was all totally avoidable.

doedoe90303811 · 17/09/2018 10:08

Jack Monroe is dreadful as well, tbh. I recall when she went absolutely nuclear when someone donated to a crowdfunder in the name of 'Jack Monroe', and she threatened to sue as if she owns exclusive global rights to 'Jack Monroe' and got the crowdfunder to refund loads of donations.

Awful woman.

IamtheDevilsAvocado · 17/09/2018 10:09

Karma is doing its lovely best!

Schadenfreude indeed... Grin

Few people deserve IVAs /bankruptcy...

BitOutOfPractice · 17/09/2018 10:10

While I couldn’t give damn about KH, i would like to thank you op for introducing me to the word epicaricacy.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 17/09/2018 10:11

She should be in jail over some of the things she's said. Never mind on the verge of bankruptcy. Like she says about those in debt, though. She's only got her self to hold accountable. I'm not rubbing my hands with glee though, not because I feel any pity but for the simple reason "She'll bounce back, cunts like that always do.

thetemptationofchocolate · 17/09/2018 10:14

Me too :)

Needmoresleep · 17/09/2018 10:21

I am very concerned about the shutting down of free speech. Look at the upcoming Linda Bellos trial, on indeed more or less anything about self-ID. I rarely agree with KH - though welcomed an article of hers, saying the unsayable about dementia. But believe that KHs right to express an opinion is something we need to protect. If she is denied a voice (as long as she stays within legal boundaries), who next? The Daily Mail perhaps, or womens groups like A Woman's Place, or Mumsnet itself.

And who decides where boundaries are drawn? Jack Monroe and friends?

GunpowderGelatine · 17/09/2018 10:23

@Needmoresleep KH also hit the nail on the head about the McCanns, so does write some good material, but anyone who calls a child who's been sexually abused a slag is a bad person and shame on the DM for letting that be published. There's free speech and then there's genuine damage from what you say

Elephant14 · 17/09/2018 10:24

I wish all selfish spiteful wankers could endure such a fate. It's not about free speech, its about hateful scorn for everyone, she's made a living out of it, you know what they say about those who live by the sword or whatever. Save your concern for people who need it.

But using epicaricacy in a sentence?! Well, there should be some sort of award. MNHQ?

Bobbybear10 · 17/09/2018 10:30

While I agree the woman is beyond vile, I do feel for her children.

It can’t be nice having the whole world know your family is going through bankruptcy (as well as having the worlds most awful mother)

TheHulksPurplePanties · 17/09/2018 10:34

This isn't shutting down free speech. Free speech does not give one the right to lie or libel someone. Free speech also doesn't guarantee the speaker a platform for their speech. Her come -uppance is the epitome of free speech.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 17/09/2018 10:35

Free speech I have no issue with and somethings I do agree with her on.
However Calling an abuse victim a slag.
Refugees cockaroaches (terrible speller sorry) to name just a few.
Is certainly not on

VickyEadie · 17/09/2018 10:39

Correct. 'Free speech' doesn't give you the right to broadcast lies about someone - and what she wrote about Jack Monroe was an outright lie.

Furthermore, when it was proved to her that it was not true - and she was offered the chance to apologise and make a donation to a charity in recompense - she refused and dragged it to court.

What was proved to her and anyone else was that 'Free speech' does not give you the right to say false things about other people.

This is karma on an enjoyable scale - because Slopbins is really, really nasty.

PS You can criticise Jack Monroe for some things, but she's nothing like Hatie Slopbins.

mumsastudent · 17/09/2018 10:43

freedom of speech comes with responsibility - first of all it must be true second causing no harm and third using extreme comments to promote fame or to your own personal ends without consideration of it affects on others -when you are considered to be in a responsible (!!) position of power you have to take the moral high ground & consider everything you say without spewing out hateful comments. (copies new word & will have to practice how to spell it!)
