New thread and still wondering why there has been no apology or acknowledgement of the incident in Loose Women last week.

Thanks beingthere I expect the divorce cost her a lot of money if she had to share the equity in the house which was probably a fair amount in that area if it was a good sized house. I bet she wishes she had kept quiet about her personal life now in hindsight. This came at a very bad time. I am starting to feel sorry for her now.

beingthere · 08/09/2018 12:19

ShatnersWig An estimated net worth of 3 mill is nothing for showbiz or many other professions. That’s her net worth not her salary. Net worth is the value of all her non-financial and financial assets owned. House, investments, toilet seat, everything.

She was earning show biz money in the 70s, that alone invested should mean she’s worth more, which shows she hasn’t worked much recently.

If that figure is true then I bet I earn more than her.

southeastdweller · 08/09/2018 12:19

Argeles - the eight minute full length clip has very recently been removed from YouTube by ITV. I noticed it was on there last night...

5Yearplan4000 · 08/09/2018 12:19

Looks like the original full clip which was about 8 mins has been pulled by Itv from you tube , after getting 3.5m views....

beingthere · 08/09/2018 12:22

Viviennemary Yes, she split this year didn’t she, after that 3mill figure, so if true you can discount up to half of it.

Did her husband work?

beingthere · 08/09/2018 12:22

Argeles ITV have it in full.

ShatnersWig · 08/09/2018 12:22

@beingthere I know very few people in the industry who would have a £3m net worth apart from some serious names. I know a few business people who are worth that and more. She's obviously invested poorly or spent foolishly.

beingthere · 08/09/2018 12:23

Oh sorry, it looks like it’s been pulled. Thanks 5Yearplan4000

That’s interesting.

beingthere · 08/09/2018 12:30

ShatnersWig Right.

Should have gone into finance or IT 😁

southeastdweller · 08/09/2018 12:30

She must have earned a fortune from the exercise DVD's and her books, never mind her LW salary, a salary most of us will never earn. I'll save my pity and empathy for people who deserve it.

ShatnersWig · 08/09/2018 12:31

@beingthere Good job she never went into PR....

5Yearplan4000 · 08/09/2018 12:34

Yes very interesting that they pulled the clip after specifically promoting it to begin with and it going viral. You have to wonder about the original motivation for the whole thing. Serious lack of insight. They thought it was fun.

beingthere · 08/09/2018 12:39

ShatnersWig Some people like her did... they advise the LW team!

ShatnersWig · 08/09/2018 12:42

@beingthere Her own Twitter team, too

That's obviously where her money has gone, paying for her own "web team"

Mymycherrypie · 08/09/2018 12:43

£3m is very low, surely. Some very standard houses in Barnet or Grange Park go for £1m. £3 might be Monken Hadley prices (where Cheryl lived) and they are nice and the very least I’d expect a LW to be able to afford.

ShatnersWig · 08/09/2018 12:56

Oh hang on. In OK in March this year her net worth was £6m. So double what it was a year previously.

SallySideEye · 08/09/2018 13:07

I really wish I didn't have as much bosom to hoick shadenfreude, can someone reduce it please without it costing 4K, I thank thee.

.

beingthere · 08/09/2018 13:09

ShatnersWig I doubt we'll ever know for sure!

But “2 up 2 down” bought outright and she could retire, she’s 53ish...?

youarenotkiddingme · 08/09/2018 13:15

I've read some of both threads and whilst I totally agree with entering that CN looked snug and muttered inappropriately and LN actually was downright unkind re her "what's your talent comment" .....

I don't see why there's so much support for KW.

The Clip I saw may have missed off something at the beginning but what I saw was KW come in from the start with an angry and aggressive attitude and refused to even listen to anyone (I don't think JSP was going to take sides and don't think her line of questioning from her body language was going to be gladly or aggressive).

So although yes, it was KW V's the Nolan's (LR seems quite shocked tbh) KW was only ever intending to scream and yell her point whatever they had said and done anyway.

I think they are all as bad as each other personally.

youarenotkiddingme · 08/09/2018 13:17

And I thought in CBB that it was KW who caused the problems and claimed bullying when when others challenged her? (Will admit to not watching)

CN admitted to trying and then turning because she felt it fruitless?

SchadenfreudePersonified · 08/09/2018 13:21

Perhaps we could come to some sort of bosom-sharing arrangement Sally

ShatnersWig · 08/09/2018 13:29

@youarenot - May be worth reading the entire thread and the previous one to actually understand it all. You also needed to see the entire thing, not the short clip that was doing the rounds and know all the preamble as to how set up it was (KW having been told CN wanted to apologise and that CN was going to speak first - CN just sat there and shrugged), the way they'd set up JSP in a judge's robe, the way they played Carmina Burana (ie, evil) music when KW walked on....

SchadenfreudePersonified · 08/09/2018 13:37

I watched the 8 minute clip a couple of days ago - had a little binge-watch of both Kim and Coleen, to judge their general affect.

I still think that CN got her just deserts. KW seems more aggressive than she actually is, partly because she is a big lady with a very severe hairstyle, but I don't think she was excessively aggressive in the LW clip. From my perspective it was the LW team who caused all of the trouble.

PPs have said that KW came out "aggressive" - well,

  • she entered to "demonic" music from Carmen Burana - not a good start for her - it really set the tone.
  • she had been told that Coleen was going to speak first and apologise - when CN just sat and looked at her, KW did what many of us would do in a similar situation - asked what CN had to say to her.

Then of course, there were the snidey remarks and "Why are you so angry" etc - well, I would have been angry in her situation and so would most people. I didn't know much about either of them before this fiasco, but now I have watched both online - and KW seems to be very pleasant and reasonable most of the time, and CN seems to be unpleasant and judgemental.

I don't doubt that KW has faults - her long-time TV partner doesn't socialise with her at all, as I understand it - but I've also not heard much good about CN from those who claim to have worked with her, and there has been no showbiz defence of her behaviour, which speaks volumes.

I'm not going to waste any pity on CN. If KW is as bad as some posters seem to think, she will drop herself in the mire sooner or later - but she has been very badly treated and in this instance is in the right.

southeastdweller · 08/09/2018 13:55

@Argeles The full length clip is on Daily Motion. I won’t link it because I might get into trouble forblinking to a website that breaches TV shows copyright (I think).

Argeles · 08/09/2018 14:01

@southeastdweller

Thanks for letting me know, that’s great.
