New thread and still wondering why there has been no apology or acknowledgement of the incident in Loose Women last week.

JSP never takes that smirk off her face.

RonniePickering · 07/09/2018 09:43

There’s a slight element of a bullying bandwagon going on on this thread now, ironically.

Oliversmumsarmy · 07/09/2018 09:47

cbb contestants didn’t do anything, so why should people stop watching them

How would you know. Everything is heavily edited.

SallySideEye · 07/09/2018 09:56

No problem Shadenfreude. Great name, though I'm a bit concerned you may be my ex-SIL now Grin.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 07/09/2018 09:58

Is there Ronnie? I think that most people are pleased to see justice served, but aren't particularly bullying anyone.

Prompted by the YouTube clip, I've been watching a few of the interviews with KW - and I can't see a problem with her.

Phillip Schofield was being deliberately goady - mocking and passive-aggressive, but she didn't rise to his bait, despite his efforts. She didn't let him get anything over on her either - she kept her cool and hr dignity, and didn't let herself be provoked.

I was impressed with how she conducted herself during the PS interview re: CBB, and also quite disgusted at what a bullying little shit Schofield is. He's one of these people I've never had an opinion about one way or another about, because I don't tend to watch I'm on TV.

I do, however, have an opinion about him now.

It's not a good one.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 07/09/2018 10:00

I doubt it Sally- I have two ex-BILs, but no ex-SIL (unless your name belies your sex) Grin

SchadenfreudePersonified · 07/09/2018 10:01

*him on TV, not I'm on TV

birdsdestiny · 07/09/2018 10:01

Because CBB was set up for something to happen. As to be honest was LW. The producers set it up and watched it play out. They couldnt predict exactly what would happen, I am sure the CBB incident took them completely by surprise for example, but soneone was always going to get very badly damaged. I think if BB continues , and I presume it operates in other countries, then something fatal will eventually happen.

SallySideEye · 07/09/2018 10:02

Ah that's a relief.Nope, definitely two X chromosomes here Grin.

HeckyPeck · 07/09/2018 10:06

There’s a slight element of a bullying bandwagon going on on this thread now, ironically.

Quite.

Not on this thread, but Colleen has had death threats and has had people say they hope she dies of cancer like her sister. Enough is enough.

PrickWhittington · 07/09/2018 10:06

Amazing how 'trolls' now means people who don't agree with the person too

Yes, I've noticed that! As I said before, IF she's had death threats, or abuse to the extent hinted at, why isn't it a police matter?

Bit ironic that the tour was named 'never too late'! Clearly doesn't apply to her 'response'/ 'apology'. Or the tour now. I'm not convinced it would have been successful anyway, even if she had had the chance to plug it endlessly on LW. Let's face it, she smokes like a chimney, has never sung live really and even says herself that Bernie was the singer! It would appear even her most ardent twitter fans can't
muster the devotion to pay for and sit through that for a few hours, even now, so what's changed? And I very much doubt the 25000 who signed the petition would have gone before all this. I think this would have been the same all along, and cancelled back then under the guise of 'how busy she is with LW'. Or some such similar crap.

I said all along she'd pay the 'victim' her and she has. Losing her sister and her marriage break down have been brought up again (as well as hints to an abusive childhood herself from JSP). Which is ironic given her intolence towards KW for daring to bring her past abuse, with the unforgivable 'we know, we got all this before too, she'll cry in a minute' remarks Angry. CN plays the ultimate 'victim', and KW, the very opposite - a survivor.

But it hasn't worked this time. She will tell herself no doubt the tour is cancelled, not because she can't sing for example, but because all these nasty people sabotaged it. And while she carries on like this, blaming circumstances/ 'trolls', that 'nasty' KW and so on she will never change as that needs introspection, and the ability to be honest with yourself.

More people referring to 'bullying' on here, yet again not one quote to back up or illustrate their point. No one has wrecked her career but herself. Even if you take the line that KW was the 'villain' there, CN was at the very least highly unprofessional in how she handled it. Her job, like any other, will require her to remain professional, and she would have signed to agree to that like the rest of us, or risk her job.

I DO agree however, that women in the public eye are treated less favourably than men in similar circumstances (with the 'lovely' abusive Dan Osborne still in the CBB house as we speak). But that fact does not exonerate CN or the rest of the LW crew, at all.

Whisky2014 · 07/09/2018 10:11

I thought it was Kim who was in a state and escalates it all Confused Yes, the others didn't act very professional but Kim needs therapy. Coleens sister was a bitch "what's your talent" eh not everyone on tv has a "talent" she's a tv personality...
But anyway, This whole thing is absolutely pathetic. Reality tv has a lot to answer for. Brain rot!

PrickWhittington · 07/09/2018 10:20

but Colleen has had death threats and has had people say they hope she dies of cancer like her sister

Proof though?

If she has, then yes, that is revolting, and action should be taken. Very, very few would condone that.

However, saying she has had death threats or similar should not be used to negate, invalidate or ignore all the justified criticism that has been made about her, should it?

I expect she has also had semi stalkers, people who propose marriage to her for example, or threaten to kill her 'haters', but these don't get mentioned at the expense of her 'normal', less extreme supporters, do they?

Focusing ONLY on the extreme negative reactions is a tactic that has been used to completely overshadow the justified cristism so that they have not had to address it. And it appears to have worked too, annoyingly.

schoolboyerrors · 07/09/2018 10:26

Oliversmumsarmy

How would you know. Everything is heavily edited.

What a ridiculous post 😂

Hey let’s all stop watching everything in case they have edited something out we would object to!

HeckyPeck · 07/09/2018 10:27

There’s giving criticism and stirring people up into a frenzy. When you do the latter it inevitably draws in the death threat type people.

PrickWhittington · 07/09/2018 10:28

This whole thing is absolutely pathetic

People calling out what they see as bullying, collusion and gaslighting isn't pathetic. Nor is people speaking out about what they see as discrimination and belittling of people with MH or trauma related issues.

Not pathetic at all, it's what helps to change attitude, reduce stigma and allow societies to progress.

PrickWhittington · 07/09/2018 10:33

stirring people up into a frenzy

IF anything did that, it was the arrogance of CN and the LW refusing to even acknowledge, let alone apologise for, any upset they had caused many of their viewers and KW for a week!

It could have been settled with a 30 second acknowledgement/ apology the next day.

knittedwoollenmouse · 07/09/2018 10:34

I think itv should up their game, but I don’t believe they will. All they’re bothered about is viewing figures. It’s always been a second rate channel and I guess there are people out there who like that kind of thing.

It’s the tv equivalent of pop and crisps. You know it’s not good for you, but it’s hard to give up. I used to watch JK but managed to stop when I realised it was so horrible and just amounted to baiting the poor and mentally damaged/unwell.

schoolboyerrors · 07/09/2018 10:37

Bullying on this thread 🧐

I see people trying to gag other posters by calling them bullies.

If those saying “it’s bullying now” are referring to the fact that posters are continuing to talk about what happened, hard luck. There has been no apology so of course people will continue to discuss it.

Not only that, it will come up every time Coleen Nolan / Roxanne P are mentioned. In Coleen Nolan’s case, it will be thought of when that song they sang in the 70s is heard. That’s life. The secret is not to be horrid on tv in the first place and then you’ll be associated with nice things.

Oliversmumsarmy · 07/09/2018 10:43

Schoolboyerrors

So CBB, X factor, The jungle one and a load of other reality and games shows aren’t edited.

I think you are gullible if you don’t think they are.

schoolboyerrors · 07/09/2018 10:44

Colleen has had death threats and has had people say they hope she dies of cancer like her sister.

No one has seen these threats except Coleen and presumably the police. I am not having an opinion other than “if it’s true it’s awful” but because Nolan has lied on tv (“I didn’t say anything” etc) I am not letting it cloud my judgement in case she is exaggerating. The police will issue a statement in due course and then I will have an opinion.

I do not believe it is the reason she has gone into hiding, she has had death threats before and carried on working. Lots of celebs do. They tell the police and carry on. Schofield told her that.

schoolboyerrors · 07/09/2018 10:47

Oliversmumsarmy

First you say they are edited and then they are not. Of course they are edited.

The jade goody racist complaints didn’t get it taken off air and neither will this.

Oliversmumsarmy · 07/09/2018 10:49

Oh and I don’t watch any of these programmes.

You can survive without knowing what the Kardashians are up to or who won Celebrity this or that.

I am interested how you think they get 24 hours of footage into whatever length the programme is without editing

SchadenfreudePersonified · 07/09/2018 10:50

This whole thing is absolutely pathetic

Really?

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men should do nothing.”

Oliversmumsarmy · 07/09/2018 10:51

Missed the question mark

So CBB, X factor, The jungle one and a load of other reality and games shows aren’t edited?
