New thread and still wondering why there has been no apology or acknowledgement of the incident in Loose Women last week.

She just bought a farm, didn't she?

Everyoneiswingingit · 06/09/2018 22:15

Would she have cancelled the gigs if they had sold out? I don't think so. Astonishing PR fail.

Everyoneiswingingit · 06/09/2018 22:17

I do think that the producers of LW need to apologise too. They set the whole thing up and are equally at fault imo.

lightonthewater · 06/09/2018 22:20

Has anyone seem Kim Woodall's twitter feed? It is quite disturbing.

Jitters22 · 06/09/2018 22:27

Which twitter feed?

The only twitter feeds I can find are spoofs ...

Confused

Justmuddlingalong · 06/09/2018 22:28

AFAIK, KW doesn't have Twitter. There's a spoof Twitter account for a Kim Woodbine.

lightonthewater · 06/09/2018 22:29

Ah! Stupid me. I didn't notice it was a parody!

knittedwoollenmouse · 06/09/2018 22:35

She doesn’t have Twitter. I don’t think she goes on social media as she said she doesn’t know anything about computers.

wolfywolfy · 06/09/2018 22:49

There's a hilarious interview Kim does if you search on YouTube where she goes to computer classes 😂

wolfywolfy · 06/09/2018 22:51

Just thought I'd share to lighten the mood.

NoMudNoLotus · 06/09/2018 23:13

Vile woman.

The public has spoken ! So glad i signed that petition.

whywhywhywhywhyyy · 07/09/2018 00:55

She's not sold enough tickets. Amazing how 'trolls' now means people who don't agree with the person too.

obviouslyperfect · 07/09/2018 03:07

@lightonthewater she doesn’t have a twitter account.

Honestly, this is where some of the anti Kim comments come from I’m sure, people believing crap on the internet!

I don’t understand what “levels of abuse” means when people say “the levels of abuse were awful” or whatever. The numbers involved? That just shows that most people thought she was wrong so she, and the deniers, should take notice. If you are in the minority, wonder why.

You can hardly tell six people they are allowed to tweet their real feelings and everyone else has to lie for the sake of her ego. Except that is probably what she is used to. She has an angry family who tell her she’s right and people in the business who know she’s an ego and say what they have to say for an easy life. She’s not their mother or sister so who cares.

She wasn't liked beforehand, there were ALWAYS tweets after the LW shows about her and all the presenters, I do believe she is playing victim now because of the petition and ticket sales and now she feels sorry for herself.

Hard luck, that’s life. If you’re rude, you lose friends. If you are in the public eye, you lose support. The fact she is still half denying and half wildly eyed not comprehending what thousands are telling her she did, speaks volumes.

Linda Nolan has kept her head down hasn’t she? I presume she’s realised that if she makes a “she did nuffin” statement, she’ll get the petition etc treatment too, and if she condemns Coleen she has to condemn herself.

So, stalemate. She’s chosen which side she’s on, her own.

SallySideEye · 07/09/2018 05:49

This is a good interview. It's clear she has more intellect in her little finger than the Nolans combined.

Maybe it would be better to say "depths" of abuse obvious, bringing up bereavement and death threats not numbers. Though I'm sure (would hope) they were in the extreme minority.

5Yearplan4000 · 07/09/2018 06:07

Watched the full clip for the first time today. Have to say it’s one of the most shocking things I’ve seen from a live tv show and it degenerated into the most unprofessional moments ever seen from a host and panel towards a guest. Coleen didn’t need to say “much” other than the vile witch comment and admitting she was 2 faced. All the other women there just piled on and it was terrible to see them then drive Kim into such a state. I know she is known for a quick temper and so on, but this was simply all set up to goad her and go viral...perhaps not in the way they expected. for them to look pained when she walked off accusing her of showing her true colours.... it has backfired spectacularly on loose women. Mocking /eye rolling type behaviour when someone talks emotionally about their brutal childhood and abuse was simply rotten. Kim was right - they are trash. I watched the clip half expecting to have a bit of a laugh at it, but it was truly appalling and shocking. to be accused of having anger and mental issues live on tv and the I’ll consideration when she got so upset. How would you feel. Poor Kim.

5Yearplan4000 · 07/09/2018 07:00

would also say the whole episode is almost the perfect example of how not to handle conflict and disagreement through the medium of tv. It’s reality tv made into real hurt in the real world. People should ponder on that - people’s feelings aren’t a show or a game.

birdsdestiny · 07/09/2018 07:35

And yet people are still tuning in to loose women and big brother, the program that set those situations up.

schoolboyerrors · 07/09/2018 08:39

A certain % will always watch those types of programmes. The other presenters (not on that day) cbb contestants didn’t do anything, so why should people stop watching them?

Ofcom will look at the complaints in due course and if there are sanctions to be made so be it.

birdsdestiny · 07/09/2018 09:09

Because the fault lies with those programmes that set those situations up. It will happen again and again particularly on BB, therefore the villification of CN and RP will have achieved nothing. My only hope is that this may have been the death knell for BB.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 07/09/2018 09:17

SallySideEye

Thank you for that YouTube clip.

Kim comes across as LOVELY, and very genuine.

I hadn't particularly been enamoured of her before - but was shocked and disgusted at how she was treated on LW - but now I am a fan. She's really, really charming.

lightonthewater · 07/09/2018 09:25

5YearPlan, totally agree. I watched the whole clip and couldn't believe what I was seeing.

MarthasGinYard · 07/09/2018 09:32

She won me over when she shared that Caravan in the Jungle with George Hamilton, they were fabulous.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 07/09/2018 09:39

I've just watched the full LW clip - it's even worse than I realised. Kim has such great dignity. ALL of the others behaved appallingly.

They goaded her, shouted her down, tried to interrupt her - and I hadn't realised just how vile LINDA Nolan was. What a horrible woman she is -an absolute master of the smartarse mark; vicious, spiteful and vindictive.

And LR and JSP were jumping on that bullying bandwagon. I almost wish I hadn't watched it - it broke my heart.
