I know it will never be the same as proper coffee but surely some are better than others?!

Percol americano

juneybean · 27/08/2018 15:55

Percol I'm working my way through Italian, Colombian and Decaf.

SinkGirl · 27/08/2018 15:56

Our coffee machine broke a couple of weeks ago so we tried all of the instant ones....

We just bought a new coffee machine.

CeeCeeAndAida · 27/08/2018 15:56

Well, it's obviously a personal taste thing, but my favourite is Alta Rica - I have two teaspoons per cup.

LakieLady · 27/08/2018 15:57

Nescafe Espresso for me.

RoseWhiteTips · 27/08/2018 15:57

None. Sorry. They all taste of burnt caramel.

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 27/08/2018 15:58

I like Millicano and Azera.

houseofhungryboys · 27/08/2018 15:59

Lavazza Prontissimo Classico

NewGrandad · 27/08/2018 15:59

All coffee, instant or otherwise, is an abomination! Grin

LagunaBubbles · 27/08/2018 16:01

Some instants are lovely, I brought a nice Kenco back I had bought to use on holiday in France. So many coffee snobs around.

lynmilne65 · 27/08/2018 16:03

Lor

Clankboing · 27/08/2018 16:04

Kenco and Douwe Egberts are fine really. They will do. Of course real coffee is better but many workplaces don't have coffee machines.

Babybearsporij · 27/08/2018 16:06

I like Douwe Egberts, but have recently been served Aldi's own special colombian roast (or something) and it was extremely lovely, on a par with the DE I'd say.

BumpInTheOven · 27/08/2018 16:07

I love Nescafé Azura x

XiCi · 27/08/2018 16:08

For me, Nescafe Azera is miles better than any other instant coffees

Elephant17 · 27/08/2018 16:11

Thanks for suggestions! Don’t have the money or space for a machine.

Percolator will be a good future investment but at the moment flicking a kettle on is much more convenient.

To PP I’m not a coffee snob, I love a good instant (if it’s good)! It’s just they seem to vary in quality somewhat and I’m about to go shopping so want to make sure I don’t pick a dud Smile

Another Azera fan here! But I stock up when on offer as £5 is a lot for a tin of instant!

UpstartCrow · 27/08/2018 16:19

Try a cafetiere.
If they dont taste of caramel they taste of liquorice. I have broken my beloved cafetiere and will drink tea until I can replace it.

BillywigSting · 27/08/2018 16:22

Azera or kenco millicano.

They both have super finely ground fresh coffee in the granules so taste markedly more like proper coffee than any of the other instant coffees

Dowe egberts is drinkable in a pinch too

PolkerrisBeach · 27/08/2018 16:23

Kenco here - won't have any Nestle products in the house.

MilkybarGrownup · 27/08/2018 16:26

Nescafé Azera Intenso. It has to be Intenso. Whenever I see it on sale I have to hold myself back from clearing the shelves!
Generally instant coffee is... bleurgh. But I love this so much my coffee machine is gathering dust.

starfishmummy · 27/08/2018 16:27

Azera

Weddingbelle123 · 27/08/2018 16:36

Another vote for Nescafé Azeri ( americano)

user1468348545 · 27/08/2018 16:37

L'or

HighwayToSleep · 27/08/2018 16:38

I have a dolce gusto but I still love Nescafé Gold Barista (black tin) and Azera Americano
