No idea if it's true. It's made me laugh so much I was wheezing.

Actually, it's definitely possible to be a 20 year old called Susan. I use this site to check name popuarity, it's really useful.

parentin · 26/08/2018 23:20

Is this actually fact or fiction?

AynRandTheObjectivist · 26/08/2018 23:34

It's bollocks, made up to play on a load of misogynistic stereotypes.

LifeHackQueens · 27/08/2018 00:54

It could be a future American version of that book "that's so ashling"

seagulldown · 27/08/2018 01:03

I think it's made up too. Although believe that each aspect could well be based on a true story. I've heard enough individual bridezilla stories to believe it's all happened some where before.

parentin · 27/08/2018 02:15

Well if I got an invitation like that, I think it's safe to say I would not respond either. Why would you rely on donations from guests in order to have your DREAM WEDDING!
Funny when you think about it!

lljkk · 27/08/2018 05:47

Canadian.

lljkk · 27/08/2018 05:51

Mainstream media, Mirror, MNS, etc. Daily Wail think it's real. What a claim to fame she's earnt.

dailygrowl · 27/08/2018 06:10

I don't think it's real, but if it is, the ex-bridegroom dodged a bullet not marrying her....feel sorry for the son though! I suspect it's fictional though - hopefully it is!

MirandaWest · 27/08/2018 06:29

I’m pretty sure it is made up. Although the tweet from iwriteforclickhole was tweeting about it rather than having written it.

MountainPeakGeek · 27/08/2018 06:35

Not sure where the Australian and NZ "news" sites get Canadian from, when her supposed relative mentions that "Susan" has never left the US...? Hmm

TheHulksPurplePanties · 27/08/2018 06:48

Has to be true. We Canadians are greedy cunts. My wedding cost $100,000 and I made the whole town pay for it.

actualpuffins · 27/08/2018 07:16

If it's true, I don't find it funny as it sounds like the bride has had a complete mental breakdown. Confused

crimsonlake · 27/08/2018 07:18

I had to keep re - reading lots of it as I could not believe it.

Babyblues052 · 27/08/2018 07:20

its real. its been online and the family and friends bave commented on it. They have spoken about her behaviour and outrageous requests for her baby shower also.
crazy to think there are people out there lie this but the sad fact is people are so obsessed with celebrity culture theu will stop at nothing to mimic it.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 27/08/2018 08:17

I found it very funny

I don’t think it’s true but I am astounded how often couples getting married expect others to pay out to attend their hen/stag and wedding

Roleplayworldcafe. I’m sure it’s against forum rules to spam threads. Your cafe looks a bit poky though

GabsAlot · 27/08/2018 10:25

wasnt there an update someone said?

YoniGetAnOohWithTyphoo · 27/08/2018 10:54

I know the general consensus is that this is made up, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it were true. My half brother is just like this: he’s always totally obsessed with status and landing other people with his bills.

He’s never really liked me (for reasons completely beyond my control - I am the child of ‘the other woman’ our dad got with after his mum). So i was surprised when he invited me to be a bridesmaid at his wedding. Later I realised this was just so this ‘title’ could be used to justify certain expectations for ‘contributions’ to the wedding. I got off fairly lightly - maybe about £500. My sister got landed with over £2000 including the hen and stag’s bar tab pre-wedding, whilst my aunt, uncle and dad got stung for thousands with wine/accomodation/flowers etc (none of this by prior agreement: it was all quite deceitfully engineered).

Later on my aunt found him ripping through the wedding cards and tossing those which didn’t contain cash to the side.

I could go on...

YoniGetAnOohWithTyphoo · 27/08/2018 11:15

Haha, I just might do! (Possibly under a fake account... if he sees me in it that’ll flip him right over the edge) ;)

kateandme · 27/08/2018 13:44

she'll come back and her fiancé will now be happily married with friend.

DaveGrohlsMrs · 27/08/2018 14:53
