Sorry can't do links, but is all this real? YouTube "cps corruption US" and "Nancy Schaefer's Senatorial report The Corrupt Business of Child Protection Services" and "Denise Robertson UK social services".and "Wanted by The State". And there's more. Can't all be false, can it? Would appreciate views please.

Never heard of Fake News, OP?

rosylea · 01/08/2018 19:45

Yes but there seems a lot of it. You think it's all fake then?

OP posts:
BeefyCakes · 01/08/2018 19:46

What a load of bollocks. It's not real, it's fake news.

Sparklesocks · 01/08/2018 19:48

If it doesn’t have actual sources then generally it’s dogshit. Remember anyone, anyone can say something on a video and post it online. Being on YouTube doesn’t mean you are legit, or not talking out your arse.

rosylea · 01/08/2018 19:54

Thanks for replies. Would Denise Robertson (rip) on This Morning be making it up though? And the Senator?

OP posts:
rosylea · 01/08/2018 20:15

Is there anyone who thinks it could be true or partly?

OP posts:
rosylea · 01/08/2018 20:25

Sparklesocks, what sources do you mean? The senator was making a public speech and Denise was on Good Morning? Aren't they the actual sources?

OP posts:
Sparklesocks · 01/08/2018 20:34

Look OP believe whatever you’d like to believe. Why do you need our approval?

rosylea · 01/08/2018 20:37

Don't need approval, just wanted views. Afraid for future grandchildren (my dc are adults)

Fake news is just annoying. I’m finding your gullibility a bit annoying too. Why are you so interested? There’s plenty of real shit out there you know. Can you explain your fixation on this?

twattymctwatterson · 01/08/2018 20:39

Why can't you do links op? It's just a copy and paste job. I might have more of an opinion if some reputable sources (or any sources at all) were provided

Sparklesocks · 01/08/2018 20:39

I haven’t got the links to the exact videos you watched, only saw general topics on the key words so I’m not sure exactly what you’re referring to. I was just advising to generally take YouTube videos with a pinch of salt and look into the sources - if they have sources, reports, stats and back up etc great - but things can be edited to persuade in a certain fashion so just be wary.

Racecardriver · 01/08/2018 20:41

I have zero idea what you are talking about but last I checked the official line of all UK state funded services is 'don't give a shit unless irs been in the papers and I'm frightened of loosing my job'.

ReevaDiva · 01/08/2018 20:43

Can't you just read a reputable newspaper? If you're finding random stories on little-known sites it's obviously bullshit. You should use your critical faculties a little more.

Denise Robertson? Confused

rosylea · 01/08/2018 20:45

Only have a phone at the moment, which isn't working well. I thought the Good Morning show and Senator speech were sources? Am I the only one concerned? Maybe I need to get a grip Wink

OP posts:
64BooLane · 01/08/2018 20:45

No idea what the detail of your links is all about, not watched/followed them. But not all political speeches are reliable sources of facts, and This Morning is not exactly a hard news and analysis programme.

Whatever it is you are worried about, don’t get your information from YouTube or morning telly. Seek out coverage of the topic in a serious newspaper or established online source with a reputation for ethical investigative journalism.

That will allow you to sort out the facts from the manipulative BS.

Melliegrantfirstlady · 01/08/2018 20:46

What did Denise Robertson say? She’s credible

rosylea · 01/08/2018 20:57

Melliegrant Denise Robertson has since passed away but spoke of some very worrying concerns. On YouTube (sorry) "Denise Robertson UK social services" She was angry, adamant and passionate about this issue. My dd is going to start a family but sometimes has depression. I've got the idea into my head that any babies will be removed! Haven't told dd that, though.

OP posts:
Melliegrantfirstlady · 01/08/2018 21:00

SS remove children at risk of harm. We know that.

So she said mothers with depression had their kids removed?

Probably the type of depression where they couldn’t feed/wash/dress their child - leave the house.

Children need stimulation and feeding. Otherwise their emotional development becomes impaired

Or they starve

You need to be more explicit in what you mean?

Melliegrantfirstlady · 01/08/2018 21:02

I’m sure your dd will be fine.

A newborn is more vulnerable than any other age group to adversity.

Legal tests must be met before children are removed

FatherBuzzCagney · 01/08/2018 21:03

If 'the senator' was someone in a US state senate or the US Senate then no, they can't be taken as a valid source for anything except their own opinions. Some of them know what they're talking about; some of them are pig ignorant, mad as a box of frogs, and liable to say any old shit to get attention. As reliable a source as some random spouting off in a pub, basically.

Eden80 · 01/08/2018 21:07

YABU - tinfoil hat stuff. Denise Robertson was qualified in only being annoying as fuck. She hates social services and often peddled false information on the show.

rosylea · 01/08/2018 21:15

Both Denise and the senator claimed that children were purposefully being removed from decent parents and they had evidence. The Senator said for child trafficking.

OP posts:
64BooLane · 01/08/2018 21:20

But that doesn’t mean anything. Just because someone with a platform says something, and then finishes off with “And I have evidence!” doesn’t make it true.

I despair sometimes.

rosylea · 01/08/2018 21:26

Right, I'm taking the foil hat off for nowBlush but if anyone watches senator Nancy Schaeffers speech, could you let me know views please? Thanks.
