I don't normally - and we are fine with that cos they are clean and get crumpled anyway. I do iron the single bedding but SK is such a massive faff. However DP's are currently staying and in our room and DM has commented on my unironed sheets... aibu to tell her to try and wrestle them on the ironing board?!

Nope. Only the pillowcases because I like the smell.

Hand DM the iron if she's unhappy Grin

Cornettoninja · 23/07/2018 22:00

Hahahahaha do I bollocks! Sheets get slept on not photographed!

But then I don’t iron my tea towels either which revealed me to be a slattern during an interesting conversation at work.

wellBeehivedWoman · 23/07/2018 22:00

God I never iron any bedding. Life's too short!

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 23/07/2018 22:00

Well put it this way I most certainly dont stand ironing bedding.

isseywithcats · 23/07/2018 22:01

no way do i iron, pillow cases, duvet covers, sheets about half an hour after you get into bed they are all creased anyway i have better things to do with my time, i have a friend who irons everything from underwear to bedding all she does is spend her life cleaning clean stuff

Amonk3ysbutler · 23/07/2018 22:01

I do but I iron them after I've put them on the bed, as long as you are careful with the heat it works.

Wingbing · 23/07/2018 22:01

No way! Putting it back on the bed is an effort in itself.

Pumpkintopf · 23/07/2018 22:01

Nope. Pure cotton sheets and duvet cover look artfully crumpled I tell myself..!

TittyGolightly · 23/07/2018 22:02

Nope. No. No. No. No. No way. Life’s too short.

doris9034 · 23/07/2018 22:03

So pleased it's not just me!!! DM irons everything ... underwear and dusters included!! I think I have residual guilt from not following my upbringing Grin

I do... But I like ironing.. Duvet cover and pillow cases

TheFairyCaravan · 23/07/2018 22:03

I don’t iron the sheet because it’s a fitted one so once it’s stretched the creases are out but I do iron the duvet ccvers and pillow cases

SheepyFun · 23/07/2018 22:05

We have a superking bed. I don't iron any part of the bedding on it (and nor does DH). However I didn't iron bedding when we used a double, when I was single, indeed at any point in my life!

I usually iron Hama beads. With options on wedding clothing....

TheyCanGoInTheBucket · 23/07/2018 22:05

Good god no!!!

AmericanEskimoDoge · 23/07/2018 22:05

I don't believe I have ever ironed a single piece of bed linen, neither can I imagine a scenario in which I ever would.

What's the point? The quilt/comforter/duvet/bedspread covers up the sheets, anyway. And won't they just get wrinkled the first time someone sleeps on them?

Chrisinthemorning · 23/07/2018 22:06

I don’t iron but DH irons our super king bedding.

spugzbunny · 23/07/2018 22:06

I don't iron double ... or single ... or the babies bedding! Who has the time to iron sheets! If I was rich I'd pay someone to do it but I'm not so it's crumpled primary sheets for me.

doris9034 · 23/07/2018 22:07

Tbh I do iron the pillowcases - sometimes - if ICBA

sue51 · 23/07/2018 22:07

He'll no.

Racecardriver · 23/07/2018 22:09

My father grew up in a household where busters were boil bleached but I never heard of people ironing Beeding until I came to Britain.

SilverPartyShoes · 23/07/2018 22:09

I ironed a king size quilt cover and that was a nightmare, never again . Wonder if its easier with a steam press? But since I dont have one, I will never know

IsTheRainEverComingBack · 23/07/2018 22:10

My MIL does. She can perfectly fold fitted sheets as well, she’s a wizard.

FASH84 · 23/07/2018 22:10

I can barely put them on on my own! I just hang them on the washing line to dry, gets most of the creases out, tell DM she's welcome to iron every set you own if that's a skill she has...

TruJay · 23/07/2018 22:12

I don’t iron any bedding, ever! Not even pillowcases. I imagine ironing SK would be like a full on workout and you wouldn’t have the energy left to put it on your bed anyway Grin

emoji · 23/07/2018 22:12

Yes, once a week! I can't stand if the bed sheets haven't been ironed, looks and feels awful. (Yes we have king size bedding)
