Parking situation on my new road.

I have just completed on a new house. When I viewed it I spent time on different days popping by the road at different times of day to checkout the parking situation and all was fine. My house and the one opposite have a drive for 1 car odd road and the others have space for 2. I only have one car.

The house opposite was for sale at the same time and the new occupants have just moved in a couple of weeks after me.
They have 6 cars!!!! (Green)

I have tried my best on the diagram to illustrate where everyone tends to park - each house has a coloured for above and then their cars are the same colour lines.
I only have one car so my driveway is ample however with green house wankers parking their cars all over the place - mainly at the end of the cul de sac - it's really hard to get out of my drive with cars also parked on the road in between my house (red) and my nice NDN (blue)

I've popped round and introduced myself and explained asking them politely not to park the three cars at the the end of the cul de sac (which is a dropped kerb. But they closed the door in my face and I haven't seen them since. Tonight they've got all of their cars all over the road as per the diagram.

What's my best course of action here?

Loving the diagrams! Best ever! Can't wait for the update.

OneThingAndThenTheNext · 15/07/2018 14:06

Your neighbour wins neighbour of the year award Grin Hope this gives the CF head a wobble and they stop being selfish.

ivykaty44 · 15/07/2018 14:07

Don’t park in your drive, park on the road then you won’t have this problem
If green cars realise that they then have to park further away they may think about why you don’t park on your drive any longer

Popfan · 15/07/2018 14:07

This is a corker of a parking thread! Can't wait til they come home!

TheHobbitMum · 15/07/2018 14:08

That diagram is an image of wonder, I almost screamed at the beauty of it (Sistene Chapel style).

Can't help with the parking situation but you should have a MNHQ award for dedication to diagrams Grin

Oh yay Yellow Neighbour!

I have something similar, not s cul de sac but both neighbours opposite have 2 car driveways (which the rarely park in) & 4 cars plus work vans. We don’t have a driveway. So I end up lugging a toddler, baby & shopping 30m down the road.

Some people are just inconsiderate.

NatashaRomanov · 15/07/2018 14:09

Best parking diagrams ever!
How clever of your nice NDN, I hope she is on holiday for three weeks! Grin

ConstantlyCold · 15/07/2018 14:10

Love your nice NDN not sure I’d have the guts to do that.

HardAsSnails · 15/07/2018 14:10

🚗🚕🚙

GlitteryFluff · 15/07/2018 14:12

Ooh marking place
Well done nice neighbour!

dadshere · 15/07/2018 14:16

They are clearly inconsiderate expletives. Park on the road in front of your drive as another posted suggested. I would also think about installing a security camera, they sound like the kind of people to 'accidentally' damage your car

SilverySurfer · 15/07/2018 14:16

I award your diagrams Star Star Star Star Star OP and look forward to hearing the outcome of nice NDN's assault on the end space. Hurry home from work Grin

Ginger1982 · 15/07/2018 14:16

Cosby wait for an update!!

Ginger1982 · 15/07/2018 14:17

can't!

No idea where Cosby came from!

AWomanIsAnAdultHumanFemale · 15/07/2018 14:20

Brilliant! I love your neighbour! That’s how I was going to advise you to park! Or at least park vertically but taking two of their spaces. Keep taking those spaces OP! Don’t let them reclaim them.

Can’t wait to see their response.

brizzledrizzle · 15/07/2018 14:23

They are being CFs.
OP, have you considered getting a trained porcupine as a pet?

Lollypop701 · 15/07/2018 14:23

Waiting for update!

AlpacaLypse · 15/07/2018 14:27

Watching... if only for the beautiful diagrams!

SockMatchmaker · 15/07/2018 14:28

Ha! That’s brilliant, please do update with their reaction!

Rachie1986 · 15/07/2018 14:28

Excellent diagrams, and waiting for update!

Haven't RTFT, but you could apply to your council to introduce a residents' parking zone on your street. I believe each house would only be allowed two permits, so green house would have to make alternative arrangements for two of their cars (or get ticketed).
Speak to your local councillor about it.

NicoAndTheNiners · 15/07/2018 14:35

Excellent. You and ndn need to keep parking there.

Chickenbhunaandoice · 15/07/2018 14:39

That would probably devalue all the houses.
