To hope they lose

Last Saturday my town centre was awash with ambulances frequently after they won that game. Quite frankly I do hope they lose as many of the fans are just wasting NHS resources and a slow Salk home would be far better than hours of celebrating drinking and all the violence that would ensue.

Other sports just don't get the same behaviour at all

I think the drunken carnage will probably be the same/even worse if they do lose so it’s a no-win situation really.

Do you think idiots won’t drink and cause trouble if they lose? Idiots take any opportunity to act like an idiot.
I hope they win for the millions of genuine sports fans who don’t cause trouble.

1.Be proud to be British and support England
2.If we lose there will be much more trouble on the streets than if we win!

If they could handle acting responsible it wouldn't be an issue. But town centers will be no go areas and millions wasted in public money on treatment and cleanupSad

I think it's nice if they win but I don't particularly feel proud to be British or English or whatever. I can't help where I happen to be born!

Reports of domestic violence go up by 30% when England lose a match which sadly tells us a lot about male violence, but wouldn't it better to address the cause rather than the effect?

Yes there will. They will play on Saturday for 3rd/4th place.
Do you think these people causing trouble in the streets are people who are usually calm, law abiding citizens? They will use any excuse to drink too much and cause trouble.

Oh that seems silly to have another game!

Pubs might lose money with all the damage and breakages and it's going to be so busy at a few times and dead during the match.

I love the upbeat feel around the football and hope they win as I think this country needs some good news!

Yes there will. Regardless of who is in it, there will be a final.

People will go out to watch it anyway. And Saturdays game. Some of those people will be knobheads. Not all or a majority will be knobheads.

The DV stat is awful however, I don't feel football is responsible.

If a man is violent to his partner, he will be for any reason. England win, England lose, the weather is good, the weather is bad, they have had too much to drink, not been able to have a drink.

Actually I don’t think it would be the same if we lose. I heard many people say on Saturday if we won then they’d continue drinking to celebrate and wouldn’t bother if they lost.

I'm more concerned that DD (17) will be in Paris at the weekend. Having seen the footage on the news last night of the crowds by the Arc de Triomphe. I have told her to stay near the hotel during the match and keep away from the crowds.

What a misery you are, I am not a football fan, but I am hoping England win. It is not the footballers fault that there are yobs vandalising property and behaving like thugs.
