Hairless foofs

Ginismyfriendx · 06/07/2018 01:02

So can't sleep and watching naked attraction (please do judge me, I deserve it)
Are completely bare foofs a thing now? Having had a nasty experience of an ingrown hair from shaving bikini line (which required anti-biotics) why go through that? Nevermind the faff. Who want's an evening shadow on their lady bits?
All for a bit of pruning, but uprooting?

‘Take the spiders along for the ride’

Yes, when I go on holiday, my pubes come along too, as do my eyebrows and eyelashes.

MizK · 07/07/2018 08:18

'Cunt hairs'

That's absolutely grim.

I think it's been established that we are all allowed to do whatever we want with our vaginas. And yes I call it a vagina. I don't give a fuck about how correct the terminology is, vulva is not happening. Stop trying to make vulva happen!

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 07/07/2018 08:25

Vulva is a hideous word!! 😂 I know that’s what it is, but I don’t use it.. vaginas ok, bit too clinical (plus it literally translates to ‘sheath’ my happy hole is more than a sheath thank you!) Favourite is cunt (very empowering imo!) but not generally acceptable so fanny is probably my go to word. Growler is another preference... tends to mean a hairy fanny though in my mind.

Laiste · 07/07/2018 08:35

Aha! So to keep bertrand away we just have to put 'hand wringing' in our posts.

Who knew? Grin

madcatladyforever · 07/07/2018 08:38

I'm old and fat and I still shave all mine off, I find it much more comfortable and hygeinic when it's hot. I think I would feel a bit embarassed if I got taken into A&E though Grin

Blushroses · 07/07/2018 08:57

DH had started getting into shaving lately ie downstairs. I’m fair and too lazy to shave arms, legs etc. So last weekend we had a shave pamper session. I did my upper lips, DH did under my arms and legs and my foof ( I’d be too embarrassed to go to a beauty salon) lol. And I helped do some of DH’s hair removal as well as downstairs. What was amazing was the unexpected feeling of feeling so much lighter. It actually does feel great to be hair free, I had no idea, that something like that could make a huge difference to how you feel. It was fun and a very sexy thing to do as a couple. To be honest neither myself or DH cares if it’s shaven or not as I don’t have much hair anyway. So it remains to be seen, how long I can keep it up form before getting bored with it, as I’m lazy.

Blushroses · 07/07/2018 08:58

Madcat, I would feel the same as you if I had to go to A&E! Lol

Blushroses · 07/07/2018 09:03

Oh yeah, I have seen Naked attraction and there was one episode where both women slept with the guys and came back upset because the guys went cold on them afterwards. One thought she had a future with him. They got naked on tv, slept with the guys right away and then were surprised.... DH called it the F*uck n chuck show!

So saying that the fashion for removing pubic hair has its origins in the porn industry and it might be a good idea to think about how far porn is influencing our societal norms is an unwarranted personal attack on individuals.

Saying that removing pubic hair is cleaner and more hygienic is an Individual opinion and is saying absoulutly nothing about anyone except the poster making the point.

Got it.

SoddingUnicorns · 07/07/2018 09:23

Don’t forget the sneering about “spiders”.

Childish.

seventhgonickname · 07/07/2018 09:36

The Brazilian has been around a while but not common.
Sex in the City,so late 90s,had and episode where Samantha had a Brazilian and it was regarded as racey.
My teen daughter has asked about removing her bush.I think she trims but I advised against shaving for now,she can decide when she's older. We've also had chats about what's'normal'.I come from the hairy generation where a bikini wax happened before a holiday or for swimming(in my case shaving as my one and only waxing left me bleeding followed by ingrowing hairs, not attractive on holiday). She will have it tougher as most boys expect hairlessness,I'm just hoping she doesn't go down that path yet. Also a few celebs are starting to speak out for the bush again so maybe things will change.

MrsBobDylan · 07/07/2018 09:38

I used to socialise with male friends throughout my 20s and heard a few of their opinions on hairy foofs. They had a hideous entitled attitude and used to say overly long pubes were disgusting and that hairless was best.

I do tidy up a bit before swimming but I'm not into conforming what any man thinks I 'should' do. I am also not going to feel ashamed because I went through puberty and grew hair ffs.

Ironically, dh is a hair removing obsessive and possibly has less than I do!!

JacquesHammer · 07/07/2018 09:39

Saying that removing pubic hair is cleaner and more hygienic is an Individual opinion and is saying absoulutly nothing about anyone except the poster making the point

Well exactly. Because I’m not arrogant enough to assume my experience is the same for everyone. I make no apologies for how a completely accidental situation made me feel.

Lalalala3 · 07/07/2018 09:40

Saying "I feel dirtier with my pubic hair" is not the same as saying "therefore everyone who doesn't shave theirs is dirty".

Lalalala3 · 07/07/2018 09:41

Vulva makes me think of Pokémon. Bulbasaur... Ivysaur... Venusaur... Vulvasaur

SoddingUnicorns · 07/07/2018 09:43

@Lalalala3 just what I needed with a 4 hour drive with DS2 watching Pokemon Grin

ferrier · 07/07/2018 09:50

Saying "I feel dirtier with my pubic hair" is not the same as saying "therefore everyone who doesn't shave theirs is dirty".

But that is exactly how it comes across.
Same as those threads about how often you shower or wash your towels.

ILikeyourHairyHands · 07/07/2018 10:29

I don't understand why people get so upset about the word vulva, it's the correct anatomical term for the external area of a woman's genitals.

I don't have a hairy vagina. I'd be seeing a doctor about that.

ILikeyourHairyHands · 07/07/2018 10:33

Yep Bertrand, I think that sums it up nicely.

ILikeyourHairyHands · 07/07/2018 10:35

And to the poster wondering how long they could grow if untrammeled, about 4 inches is my personal best.

(They're straight, not curly).

DwangelaForever · 07/07/2018 10:50

@ferrier it really doesn't translate as that at all. Someone feeling dirty has no bearing on anyone else 🙄 some people feel dirty when they haven't had a shower as soon as they wake up, some people don't feel dirty until a longer period going unwashed. Feeling dirty within yourself is not a benchmark of how dirty you view anyone else 🙄

bananafish81 · 07/07/2018 10:50

But that is exactly how it comes across.
Same as those threads about how often you shower or wash your towels.

'I prefer to shower twice a day' or 'I like a fresh towel every two days' is different to 'I think anyone who only showers once a day is gross' or 'Eww washing towels less than every couple of days is minging' though

I personally feel cleaner with it all off. That absolutely doesn't mean I think anything whatsoever about anyone else's habits. I really have got better things to think about than someone else's pubes!

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 07/07/2018 10:53

@ferrier that’s your own insecurities at play.

DuchyDuke · 07/07/2018 10:55

A lot of Indian and Middle Eastern and Southern Europen women DO get spiky hair growth after waxing, even down there.

Lalalala3 · 07/07/2018 10:55

'I prefer to shower twice a day' or 'I like a fresh towel every two days' is different to 'I think anyone who only showers once a day is gross' or 'Eww washing towels less than every couple of days is minging' though

Precisely. What feels right for one person's body doesn't mean they think it must be right for everyone else's fgs.
