AIBU to try this 'game'? - I think it could be fun.

Locked upstairs in a house, you need to escape.

Rules, only one instruction per person until the correct action has been identified.

I've already 'written' the way to escape - if it works then I will write a fuller version to play a different evening.

For example: (player/you) Open Window:

(me) There are no windows.

Not unreasonable but I feel we need more info about the situation. You say locked upstairs in a house. Can you give more details? Is the entire floor locked or just that room? Or just the house?

There is only one door in this room. It is locked fast.

Open room door

You cannot access the bathroom.

There is no loft hatch.

Roll back bedroom carpet.

Cut a hole in the floor

Go down spiral staircase

look for the key?

The door is locked.

You have rolled back the carpet, there is nothing of interest there.

You try cutting a hole in the floor with your bare hands. it hurts and doesn't work.

If there are no windows, it is not a house.

You look for a key, there is one on a table in the corner

Locate an air brick.

Phone a friend

Open something with the key

Look in the mirror, see what you saw.
Take the saw and cut the table into 2 halves. Two halves make a (w)hole.
Climb through the hole and escape
