To call my Sister a thieving cow

My sister who is 65 and should know better is staying for a couple of days, and came this morning tonight she asked if she could have a shower before BGT, well of course there was no problem, my shower is her shower, I got out fresh towels showed her how the new shower works and gave her a choice of Radox shower creams we have about 4 fragrances and left her to it.

Went to to the bathroom door to tell her BGT was about to start, heard her tuneless singing and the unmissable smell of my FENJAL body mousse, well I didn't say she couldn't use it but it was in the bathroom cabinet not on the side of the bath so she would have had to open the cabinet to find it, sitting here faintly fuming not said anything to her, DH didn't help by saying 'oh you smell nice'

I only use it for special occasions myself and it looks like she has used half the bloody can.

Not happy at all

Really? It's your sister! I wouldn't care less.

Sparklingbrook · 28/05/2018 21:28

That must be a powerful scent to waft through the door. Grin And for it still to smell enough for someone to notice after she's finished. I might get some.

I don't have shower gel for special occassions-anyone can use my stuff.

Branleuse · 28/05/2018 21:28

ugh that's irritating.

I probably wouldn't say anything over one incident but I'd definitely hide it away

ourkidmolly · 28/05/2018 21:28

She's 65, surely she can wash her arse with whatever she fancies. You sound crackers.

ourkidmolly · 28/05/2018 21:30

Just read op again. Her tuneless singing....have you been drinking?

stopbeingadramallama · 28/05/2018 21:30

Is there actually people out there that only need to worry about stuff like this?😀

Puffycat · 28/05/2018 21:30

Really op?!
There’s posts on here about highly unhygienic guests who stink the house out!
Don’t be tight about a bit of shower gel!

Singlenotsingle · 28/05/2018 21:31

Oh get a life! She obviously thought that you, being a generous person, wouldn't mind. You seem to get on well, so how could she possibly be expected to know the fenjal was off limits?

Katinkka · 28/05/2018 21:32

Don’t be so tight.

MissionItsPossible · 28/05/2018 21:32

Stop being such an attention seeker

Sparklingbrook · 28/05/2018 21:32

Is this it?

ElderflowerWaterIsDelish · 28/05/2018 21:34

You are begrudging your sister a bit of your shower mousse...Hmm

This can't be real

sanityisamyth · 28/05/2018 21:34

You're mithering about shower gel?

My sister set fire to me, dropped a sledgehammer over my head, stabbed me, stole EVERYTHING I owned, pushed me down the stairs nearly daily, blinded me with an aerosol, used my toothbrush to secretly scrape shit off her pants and spread shitty rumours behind my back.

Seriously. Shower gel???

VioletCharlotte · 28/05/2018 21:35

I'm assuming this is light hearted?? Surely sisters in their 60's aren't STILL bickering about pinching each other's things without asking?!

MrsHappyAndMrCool · 28/05/2018 21:36

I don’t see why you would have a problem with her using your shower gel? and she did not thieve it.

ILikeMyChickenFried · 28/05/2018 21:36

I'd be annoyed too. It's cheeky. You don't go through someone's cupboard and select toiletries when you've already been provided with them.

SmileEachDay · 28/05/2018 21:36

It’s £5.40.

fourandnomore · 28/05/2018 21:36

I would think it was a bit sneaky rifling through the cabinet if it wasn't a member of my family but I still wouldn't care about the shower mousse, especially not for a fiver a can. Tempted to try it, thought it was going to be about £20 or something. The creme body oil thing sounds nice too. I know what you mean when you'd offered her a selection, it's quite an odd thing to do, but maybe she can't use radox for some reason, just say oy is that my fenjal you smell of?

JammyDoughnuts · 28/05/2018 21:39

I'm the same with my Clarins bath and shower concentrate so I get where you're coming from. To be fair it's £19 a bottle...

Dontforgetyourtowel · 28/05/2018 21:39

It would annoy me too and I might make a quip but probably best to let it go. Maybe do the same when you stay over at hers!

And sanityi come on now, it's awful what happened to you but it's bad form to use it to play top trumps! I could ask you why you are moaning about your experiences when genocide is so much worse..!

SecretStash · 28/05/2018 21:39

Why would the “tuneless singing” discrption make you ask if the OP had been drinking? Hmm

JammyDoughnuts · 28/05/2018 21:39

It’s £5.40.

Grin
humphreysabout · 28/05/2018 21:40

I wouldn't mind at all - but are you sure she didn't bring her own mousse and it just happens to be the same as yours. It's not inconceivable that 2 sisters would buy the same bath product.

DontDrinkDontSmoke · 28/05/2018 21:41

Fenjal isn’t expensive. Even if it was, it was your sister who used some.

Sparklingbrook · 28/05/2018 21:41

Well I am getting me some tomorrow. The reviews are great and it's not that ££.
