To call my Sister a thieving cow

My sister who is 65 and should know better is staying for a couple of days, and came this morning tonight she asked if she could have a shower before BGT, well of course there was no problem, my shower is her shower, I got out fresh towels showed her how the new shower works and gave her a choice of Radox shower creams we have about 4 fragrances and left her to it.

Went to to the bathroom door to tell her BGT was about to start, heard her tuneless singing and the unmissable smell of my FENJAL body mousse, well I didn't say she couldn't use it but it was in the bathroom cabinet not on the side of the bath so she would have had to open the cabinet to find it, sitting here faintly fuming not said anything to her, DH didn't help by saying 'oh you smell nice'

I only use it for special occasions myself and it looks like she has used half the bloody can.

Not happy at all

Your shower is her shower, but she's a thieving cow if she touches the shower gel? ConfusedHmm

MumofBoysx2 · 28/05/2018 22:44

Yes, go on I dare you. Call your sister a 'thieving cow' for using some bath foam. Hope you had house insurance Hmm

Armchairanarchist · 28/05/2018 22:51

A thieving cow over max £2.70. 😮

Bitchywaitress · 28/05/2018 22:56

Fuck me! I would probably give my sister one of my ovaries.

Hope this is lighthearted!

lamerde · 28/05/2018 22:56

You sound unhinged

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 · 28/05/2018 22:57

Log it with the police.

foodtime · 28/05/2018 22:58

Bloody hell the responses on here. It’s extremely clear the OP is joking.
How the fuck do people get though life.

OliviaStabler · 28/05/2018 23:00

Have a 🍷 and chill out. It's a bit of shower gel, hardly a criminal offence.

MarthaArthur · 28/05/2018 23:00

Why were you loitering outside the door long enough to hear her using mousse?

I hope this is lighthearted. My grandmother accused me of theft very seriously when i was a young teenager because i used her dental floss.

Justmuddlingalong · 28/05/2018 23:00

Reread the post. It's nothing of the sort.

BlueEyedBengal · 28/05/2018 23:00

Has she always helped herself to your stuff? Habits of a lifetime can be hard to break😀

Gacapa · 28/05/2018 23:00

Lock her in the bathroom and call 101.

abilockhart · 28/05/2018 23:02

The OP only goes to prove there are some miserable posters on MN.

MediocrePenguin · 28/05/2018 23:03

Dying to know what sort of 'special occasion' warrants use of your Fenjal shower gel?!

MissKummerspeck · 28/05/2018 23:09

I’ve never heard of it, It sounds like a fanjo wash.

TheSecretMole · 28/05/2018 23:09

Oh. I really did think Fenjal was for fannies.

Dancingtothebeat · 28/05/2018 23:11

Next time fill your Fenjal bottle with Napalm. That’ll learn her.

MarthaArthur · 28/05/2018 23:11

Lock her in the bathroom and call 101.
Grin

Skittlesandbeer · 28/05/2018 23:18

I think it’s a bit strange to silently fume about this sort of thing -given she’s been your sister for so many decades. Why wouldn’t you stick your head around the steamy bathroom door and shout ‘Oi, that better not be my good stuff you’re using, or you can just bloody replace it!’ In that normal cross-not cross tone we all have for family members?

Methinks there are ancient feuds behind this... perhaps a lifetime of boundary-crossing by the sister? It seems fairly clear it’s not about half a bottle of soap (at whatever price point)?

lostfrequencies · 28/05/2018 23:20

Thanks to this thread I now know that Fenjal isn't a brand of "feminine hygiene wash".

BlueEyedBengal · 28/05/2018 23:29

Never heard of it. My son used my elmis shower gel, not the radox I didn't think to complain, I was too speechless ShockShockShock

SandAndSea · 28/05/2018 23:37

What did the police say?

CocoAndTheChocolates · 28/05/2018 23:43

Assumed it was vagina washConfused

ThanksForAllTheFish · 28/05/2018 23:45

Fenjal sounds close enough to Fanjo to make me think it was a feminine wash. You learn something new on mumsnet everyday.

Seriously though OP it’s a body wash that costs around £5. I appreciate if you are on a very tight budget then it can be a luxury to spend £5 when you can get £1 shower gels. We are on a budget and my shampoo and conditioner cost £6 each and as much as I could used cheaper stuff I think deserve to use some every day products I love over just buying the cheapest option. I can cut back elsewhere but I don’t because it’s a small thing I prioritise for myself. Even then I wouldn’t be pissed off if a family member/ guest used it as it’s just one of those things with guests.

If you love it so much then I say it should be your everyday go to shower gel. Sure it’s more expensive than the cheap stuff you get in the £1 shop but maybe if you used it everyday rather than save it for special occasions you would be happier (and less likely to be pissed off at your sister for using your shower gel).

Aus84 · 28/05/2018 23:50

Whoa - over reaction. It's cheap body wash.
As a side note, all this googling body washes has lead to me discovering how much DH pays for mine... $49 eek! (Aussie dollar) Now that needs to be kept for "special occasions".
