I would get different friends to publish the truth in her Facebook wall so that as soon as she deletes another one pops up.

But then it sounds like some of are friends are idiots and just want a fight regardless of who is right or wrong.

So instead get your DH to put a post on his wall and ensure it gets round.

Had a quick mental rummage through my contract law training for any grounds on which she could sue you and nope, I got nothing. Unless you’d entered into a legally binding contract in which you agreed to take her fully congnisant of your liability for costs if you withdrew from the arrangement, she’s on a hiding to nothing.

Agree with the other posters upthread: document everything, including the message to your husband. Hilarious as her behaviour is to us, you can’t guarantee that she won’t tip over into full whackdoo batshit territory and get nasty. You never know when you might need to prove what really happened or was said.

On the TTC and long cycle front, have you been checked for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome? I had very long cycles like you and it took a diagnosis of PCOS and a bit of extra help for us to conceive.

Why doesn't she just pay for a train ticket there and get a taxi back? I've just looked up Heathrow to Liverpool - you can get it for less than £250. That would mean she could still have the operation. She's being ridiculous saying she can't have it unless you're there.
