Back by popular demand... we're all this together now!

Original thread: I think my friend should pay, she thinks we should split it?http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/amiibeingunreasonable/3240864-i-think-my-friend-should-pay-she-thinks-we-should-split-it

ohfourfoxache · 10/05/2018 12:23

You’re well rid of this “friend”

Morphene · 10/05/2018 12:23

she must already have someone lined up to take her, because there is no way she would be wasting time making a fake account to get revenge if she still genuinely has 13K on the line.

BitOutOfPractice · 10/05/2018 12:25

This woman must be off her tits on something! Either that or she's crazy!

sprinklesandsauce · 10/05/2018 12:25

welshgal I am totally appalled at her FB status. She has shown her true colours and if I saw somebody post that about a friend, I would instantly unfriend them.

I can't see that there is any legal comeback for you, you were doing her a favour. It was up to her to sort alternative transport, and who on earth has £13K for cosmetic surgery, but can't afford transport!

All this because you refused to let her freeload off you. I hate driving on motorways, and if a friend takes me anywhere, then i pay for diesel, lunch, tickets to the event, all because I could not get there without them! or if I went by train it would cost a lot more, plus of course it is nice having my friend there!

You are not responsible for her actions. She needs to ask herself why no other "friends" stepped up to help her when you couldn't.

expatinscotland · 10/05/2018 12:26

She truly believes people exist to do her bidding.

LexieLulu · 10/05/2018 12:27

What did your DF message her back? Grin

gruffaloshmuffalo · 10/05/2018 12:28

Bloody hell! Well done OP, great responses

Lizzie48 · 10/05/2018 12:29

She's basically a spoilt brat that never grew up. She was obviously hoping you'd cave in and take her to keep her from harassing you any further. Well done for not backing down. If she carries on, you should take action against her for harassment.

DoveBlue · 10/05/2018 12:33

She sounds unhinged and in some ways very sad that she has no one else to help. However no surprise why with her attitude.

OP Have you been given any clue on the destination of the surprise trip?

JakeBallardswife · 10/05/2018 12:34

Love your DF he really is a keeper!

MeMyShelfandIkea · 10/05/2018 12:34

It's most appropriate that you were supposed to be seeing her next Tuesday...

prh47bridge · 10/05/2018 12:34

Just catching up on this having skimmed through the first thread. She definitely has not received any advice from someone legally qualified. She doesn't even have the beginnings of a case against you. If she is stupid enough to try the amount she wants to claim is beyond the small claims limit so she will have to pay at least £585 in court fees and, when you win, she will be ordered to pay your legal costs in defending the claim.

ChorleyFMcominginyourears · 10/05/2018 12:36

I haven't commented yet but I've been following this from the start, I'm hooked! Can't wait to see what Titzilla does next!

HandInThePromisedLand · 10/05/2018 12:38

She is crazy!

GlitteryFluff · 10/05/2018 12:39

Settling down for part two.
She is batshit.

Hortonlovesahoo · 10/05/2018 12:40

Did I read that right that your DH has messaged her back? On his number ? Or yours? What did he say?

prh47bridge · 10/05/2018 12:40

Also, if anyone reading her Facebook post would know that she is talking about you, you could get a proper lawyer to write to her pointing out that her post is libellous and insisting that she withdraw the comment, publish an appropriate correction on Facebook and pay your legal fees (i.e. whatever the solicitor charged you to write the letter). You should be able to get Facebook to remove the comment if she refuses.

Idontdowindows · 10/05/2018 12:44

I hadn't commented on the original thread because I thought it would all be done and dusted.

And we have another zilla! Ok, now I'm staying tuned :D

Welshgal1 · 10/05/2018 12:44

@Hortonlovesahoo He replied to the anon Facebook message claiming I've been cheating on him thanking Titzilla (actually called her Titzilla) for warning him Grin

incywincybitofa · 10/05/2018 12:44

I would say you are counting suing for the pain and distress of her comments.

incywincybitofa · 10/05/2018 12:44

counter suing

Larryduff · 10/05/2018 12:52

Just caught up on the last thread, I'm now half expecting this to take a really nasty turn, I can't believe a sane adult would behave like that. I'd be changing all my passwords and locking down on the chances of ID theft if I were you.

CatsCatsCats11 · 10/05/2018 12:53

This girl just gets better and better!

Mamabear1475 · 10/05/2018 12:54

She's like a kid throwing her toys out of the pram
