To think men put your nips away

I know from previous experience that many here live in a naice area. But I don't and I've seen several guys with their nips out around town and even one guy in asda.

Surely beach yes that's fine, but around town really? It's not even that hot.

I agree. I really don't want to see hairy man boobs out on show. And I have seen many today!

60sname · 06/05/2018 18:58

Yanbu it's grim.

thetriangleisarealinstrument · 06/05/2018 19:01

It only pisses me off because it reminds me of the double standards.
People would go mental if a woman walked into asda with her nipples out... thered probably be quite a lot of people kicking up a fuss if she walked in a bikini top.
But men hardly ever get bothered.

I dont think anyone should be bothered personally. I dont care about seeing nipples either way... but the highlighting of how sexualised womens bodies are compared to mens does wind me up.

ICantCopeAnymore · 06/05/2018 19:02

It's rank. No one wants to see that, ever.

It's acceptable at the beach or swimming pool but not walking round the shops.

It's only a certain "type" that does this.

ethelfleda · 06/05/2018 19:04

I have seen plenty of this too. It really annoys me. Put it away!!

Sparklyshoes16 · 06/05/2018 19:04

Yanbu it's grim.

This^^

ethelfleda · 06/05/2018 19:05

Mostly carrying a can of lager also

Mousefunky · 06/05/2018 19:06

YANBU. It’s such a wretched British thing I wish would go away. It’s never so hot you need to remove your shirt in public and they never have bodies worthwhile showing off.

qazxc · 06/05/2018 19:06

I come from the south of France. It gets really hot. Men still manage to remain clothed.
As you say, ok for a beach or swimming pool, otherwise put a top on.

TailEndCharlie · 06/05/2018 19:07

My husband insisted on going shirt off in the garden this weekend even though 2 DDs and I all went eeewwwww..... karma got him..... his t-shirt that was tied round his waist fell off whist mowing and the mower ate it. Karma. I love karma. He loved that T-shirt.

jnfrrss · 06/05/2018 21:07

Tbh it's fine in your own garden, but not anywhere else unless near water!

BitchQueen90 · 06/05/2018 21:23

I hate this. If you're in your own garden or at the beach/pool, go for it. Not if you're wandering around the town centre.

WeirdyMcBeardy · 06/05/2018 21:25

YANBU. Thought this exact thing today. One of the dads at school does it at sports day if the weather is nice, put it away ffs!

ichbineinstasumer · 06/05/2018 21:26

yes saw this in local co-op today. Get away from the fresh produce with your hairy sweaty man boobs, I thought...!

DairyisClosed · 06/05/2018 21:26

YANBU. Utterly bizarre. I grew up in a place with regular 40 degree heatwaves. Even then it didn't happen. There really is no reason to be walking around topless in thus weather.

lljkk · 06/05/2018 21:27

Doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Aria2015 · 06/05/2018 21:36

Just talking to my dh about this today! If it's on the beach, then shirtless is fine but anywhere else I don't like it. Saw loads of guys just walking around the street today without shirts and the look was getting a firm 'no' from me!

flowerpotmike · 06/05/2018 22:17

It is nearly always accompanied by jeans as well. I'm sure it can't be any cooler. Horrible sunburnt chest and sweltering legs yuk. Men who wear shorts and a cotton shirt look much cooler, in both senses of the word.

This is awful. Poor man. In his own garden, his own body belittled by his family. Fair enough wear a shirt in public but this is just mean.

TroubledLichen · 07/05/2018 03:03

I want to shout IT’S NOT THAT HOT AND NEITHER ARE YOU every time I see a topless male strutting his stuff down the high street. Unless he is insanely hot at which point there should be special dispensation Wink but the men who are guilty of this cardinal sin sadly never seen to be.

mummabeargrr · 07/05/2018 03:06

I thought I was being really prim about these. Seriously men / boys put it away!

Beach/ pool / your own garden absolutely fine. In the high street, on the school run really not nice.

blaaake · 07/05/2018 03:09

I'm currently building a house on quite a naice street and I think the neighbours would've got the shock of their lives when half the builders whipped their tops off today Hmm it was not pleasant to look at apart from the ripped bricklayers in their twenties Blush

ThatWasWayHarshTai · 07/05/2018 04:01

I agree with thetriangleisarealinstrument, the double standards piss me off. Either ban everyone's nips in public or no ones.

I got hassled for BFing in the cafe at a supermarket today but no one bats an eye at the topless blokes eating their pie and chips on the table next to me or wandering around the aisles sticking their bare torsos in to the freezers.

There will be loads of them with their tops off on the school run on Tuesday afternoon and they'll be reet but if any mums dare show up in a crop top or, gasp, a bikini top and shorts (we live right by the beach) there will be snide comments and tuts.

Bettyfood · 07/05/2018 04:12

I agree, it's seriously skanky.
