Is this weird behaviour on the underground?

I promise I’ve not lead a sheltered life Grin. I don’t live in London but have been there numerous times and always use the underground.

Today a girl stood next to me and started swinging around the pole (like a pole dancer) and then stopped and started doing squats and lunges whilst holding the pole.

I’ve used to get public transport every day when I lived in LA so I have seen some sights. But that’s odd right?

Nothing in London is odd. Maybe she just wanted to pack in a couple of squats? Or, y'know, she's high.

clockworklime · 05/05/2018 20:26

Some people desperately crave attention.

ProudPearlClutcher · 05/05/2018 20:26

Hmm really? You need to ask if this is odd?

SockQueen · 05/05/2018 20:29

The important question is did she make eye contact with anyone while doing it?

Well yes Smile it might be an every day occurance in London.

Usually when I’m on there people are either reading/listening to music or too packed in to even move.

I’m not sure, I just tried to make sure that I didn’t make eye contact with her. Grin

IHeartMaryLennox · 05/05/2018 20:32

Well obviously that's not normal behaviour is it Hmm

EggysMom · 05/05/2018 20:32

Did she have pink hair? Grin I know somebody who sees every pole as an opportunity to pull some moves. It doesn't mean she's pulling fellas, she just likes pole-work.

PickwickThePlockingDodo · 05/05/2018 20:33

Bloody weirdo Grin

strongerthan · 05/05/2018 20:36

It's London. Anything goes.

Fortheloveofbutter · 05/05/2018 20:38

The last time I saw someone squatting around a pole on the underground, they were pickpotting some lady, although I didn’t realise at the time.

Some guy in a suit walked over and said “excuse me that man is trying to steal your purse” the culprit then jumped off the train and legged it!

MarthaArthur · 05/05/2018 20:40

What part of london? Grin

Waterlemon · 05/05/2018 20:41

*pick pocketing

Grilledaubergines · 05/05/2018 20:41

Anything is normal in London. Thank God!

RoseWhiteTips · 05/05/2018 20:43

Oh yes, that is very odd. But as others have said it’s sort of par for the course in London.

(Isn’t avoiding eye contact handy at times like that!?)

VladmirsPoutine · 05/05/2018 20:43

I think if you don't put light-hearted in your post then it come across as being purposefully disingenuous. Clearly swinging round a pole and lunging is not normal behaviour but I've seen a lot worse in london.

RoseWhiteTips · 05/05/2018 20:46

Why are people doing thisHmm?
I think the story is excellent!

👍🏻

Fortheloveofbutter · 05/05/2018 20:48

Well I refuse to put lighthearted in a title. People don’t need to be babied on here.

It was on the Victoria Line. If relevant - somewhere between Warren Street and Green Park.

AuntyJackiesBrothersSistersBoy · 05/05/2018 20:50

Well, it’s different, for sure. Normal/unusual/odd/weird....not my place to label it!

ProudPearlClutcher · 05/05/2018 20:51

Eh? How was I obnoxious? You sound a treat too btw StarStarStarStar
