Before you all get excited: no party yet (I was trying to keep when it was vague so more anonymous but i give up) . I have had a message from softzilla.
'So are we calm enough to sort this oot for tomorrow? 'Hmm

I replied to the first or second page of the last thread and cannot believe this is still going. Block her number. Stop giving her headspace, you and her are beginning to sound like two sides of the same coin.

Good luck for today unreasonable like thumbs said, she is building up to expecting a big scene, and the wind will be taken out of her sails when you just are polite but basically ignore her. I'd be ready to say to her, if she does start something 'Party mums child's party isn't really the time to be discussing this, is it?'
Flowers for what you're going through, hope you're ok today. I've had similar, and know how hard it can be....

I agree it's silly, but these threads seem to take on a life of their own sometimes, with posters egging the OP on. It would be best to block, I do agree with that however.

How are we two sides of the same coin? She has made this mess. I have literally done nothing since the soft play visit with friend 1. I have told people on here what has been said by others and I have responded to my friends but left softzilla to her own devices and got on with my own stuff. What have I done that makes the other side to her rather bullying coin?

Very few people have "egged the OP on" - most of us have said to ignore softzilla.
No way are you becoming in any way the same as her, Unreasonable - don't worry about it, you're fine.

Unreasonableness, you're doing well. You've responded to her calmly and reasonably, and have not risen to all the bait she's throwing your way. Keep on as you are. You're good.

I hope the party goes well and that this bizarre woman doesn't spoil it for you. If she does come over to you and try to get you to have an argument with her, smile, tell her "I'm not going to spoil this lovely party," and walk away. Don't engage. Act with kindness and dignity and all will be well.

She's really odd.

Hopefully she won't cause a scene but I'm sure something will be made to bring her into the front line despite it being a party.

Just read both threads all the way through - WOW! Softzilla isn't going to have any friends left by the time her child leaves primary school!

OP - you've handled this with dignity and more reserve than I could have managed. Your friends are good friends and you should go to the party knowing you are in the right and that Softzilla is probably having to change her underwear everytime she thinks of the party.

Don't know why anyone thinks you're as bad as the CF OP. That's bonkers. You've come across as quite dignified in your response to her bonkers behaviour - I'd have been way less measured in dealing with her, especially when she started badmouthing you (and coming up with various versions of your non-existent cheekyfuckery to cover up her own).

I would suggest KC225 actually go and re read OP post as at no time has the OP done anything to the 'mad as the box of frog friend'. Where as 'mad as the box of frog friend' has gone way Over the top to get a reaction from OP. All 'mad as the box of frog friend' had to do was to apologise to OP about the misunderstanding, instead she has chosen to bad mouth, and lie about OP.
