No. I don't think we'll be friends. That was never my goal after the first soft play visit with friend 1. I just wanted to be able to be civil when we are thrown together in groups which is likely to happen regularly.

I don't believe there was any "misunderstanding" I think she made a faux pas, doesn't like you for whatever reason anyway and so instead of doing the decent thing, apologising and letting it drop she's tried to take advantage to try and squeeze you out of the group.

By the look of things if she doesn't catch on to herself she's the one that'll get dropped. People just won't tolerate such nonsense. Especially if there's a risk they'll be the next target of her drama.

Been following this all day. Well done for taking the high road. She was quite obviously trying to get you alone so she could spin whatever conversation you had later to her own benefit. She was also fairly obviously leaving gaps for you to fill with apologies- I have fallen for that one before.

Just keep things breezy and slowly forget you were ever friends. She’s now shown you her true self. And it isn’t very nice or supportive.

I agree it looks like she was trying to engineer an apology from you so that:

1. She could make it look like you were in the wrong to the rest of the group and/or
2. She genuinely believes she is (somehow) in the right.

She must have looked bonkers asking to talk and then saying absolutely nothing!
