Before you all get excited: no party yet (I was trying to keep when it was vague so more anonymous but i give up) . I have had a message from softzilla.
'So are we calm enough to sort this oot for tomorrow? 'Hmm

Perfectly dealt with unreasonable.

I suspect however this won't be the end of it sadly.

'Can we talk' was obviously 'Apologise to me!'. Well done for not giving her what she wanted. She is crazy!

SoftzillaPissedHerPants · 12/04/2018 18:38

OP has been so drama free. I don't know how anyone could think otherwise. Well done OP.

Unreasonableunreasonableness · 12/04/2018 18:39

Oh and friend 1 and friend 3's plan was just that they would split up so i always had somewhere to go to if I needed to escape a conversation. Hardly bullying.....

This reminds of training I had when working in Sales. We were taught not to always "fill the empty air" by speaking - to encourage the customer to talk.
Looks like SZ had the same training - said she wanted to talk then said nothing so OP ended up being the conciliatory one.

Iloveacurry · 12/04/2018 18:39

So you talked and she didn’t?! The woman is unhinged.

Dobby1sAFreeElf · 12/04/2018 18:40

The silence was a purposeful tactic.
You snubbed it out well. Witnesses made it too hard for her to do and say what she wanted.

Shizzlestix · 12/04/2018 18:41

Shake hands?? She needs to apologise, she’s been a royal PITA!

MiniCooperLover · 12/04/2018 18:42

So she did the whole silence thing again? How on earth can she think she's in the right?

Wineandpyjamas · 12/04/2018 18:44

Wow - have been following this and the previous thread absolutely agog, lucky my dd was in nursery this afternoon so had a free couple of hours to settle in with a cuppa!
Well done OP, you have behaved gracefully all the way through regardless of the frankly batshit behaviour of the SZ. Agree with pp that her saying “shall we talk?” And then silence was her expecting an apology so well done for not caving! However I don’t think this is done with yet, her behaviour at the party (stalking much?) indicates she’s not through with you so I’d keep your guard up a bit.

GeekyWombat · 12/04/2018 18:44

Well done on not feeding the drama llama OP. She’s probably at home gnashing her teeth at being thwarted from having a weird showdown.

I don’t know I’d have been able to shake her hand though. You’re a more forgiving woman than me!

Clutterbugsmum · 12/04/2018 18:45

And Softzilla still hasn't apologised or explained her behaviour.

OP expect 100 lots of calls over the few weeks to arrange 'play dates' as she still does not understand what she did was so wrong and by you saying what you did and her not saying anything in her mind she thinks every thing is back to normal.

sonjadog · 12/04/2018 18:45

Now that is done, when she contacts you again, I suggest you tell her to stop it and that she needs to leave you alone from now on.

YellowFlower201 · 12/04/2018 18:45

Well done OP! Glad it was ok. Do you think she'll move on now?
She's clearly got problems...

hdh747 · 12/04/2018 18:45

Weird. Could she be neurodivergent in some way?

summerlovingliz · 12/04/2018 18:45

Well handled OP.. hope you manage a relaxing evening and glad you have some lovely and supportive friends..
What's the bet she txts you tonight tho!?

Queenio24 · 12/04/2018 18:47

That's very odd, she genuinely doesn't know what she's done wrong. Be wary of her OP.

HolyMountain · 12/04/2018 18:47

You shook hands? Grin.

Well that surprised me, I don’t know why but I would have thought a hug would have been suggested.

TomRavenscroft · 12/04/2018 18:49

Fuck, she's a freak.

Well handled, OP and friends.

HettySunshine · 12/04/2018 18:49

It sounds like you dealt with a potentially difficult situation like a pro op. I hope you are having a nice chilled evening now and perhaps a wee glass of something yummy.

Hang on, I'm confused. What was the final body count?

ScrumpyBetty · 12/04/2018 18:50

Amazing update, well done! I just can't believe she didn't try and talk to you, she just stood there staring at you. She sounds so odd!
