Before you all get excited: no party yet (I was trying to keep when it was vague so more anonymous but i give up) . I have had a message from softzilla.
'So are we calm enough to sort this oot for tomorrow? 'Hmm

If this was a Tarantino film, who would be playing SF?

allthegoodnameshadgone · 12/04/2018 18:26

Op is kill bill in my head

SauvignonBlanche · 12/04/2018 18:27

She’s unhinged!

Banterlope · 12/04/2018 18:27

SZ, even

allthegoodnameshadgone · 12/04/2018 18:27

SJP is the SF

HeyPesto55 · 12/04/2018 18:28

She's just such a loon. You done well to keep your cool, OO.

HeyPesto55 · 12/04/2018 18:28

She's just such a loon. You done well to keep your cool, OP.

HeyPesto55 · 12/04/2018 18:29

She's just such a loon. You've done well to keep your cool, OP.

Dobby1sAFreeElf · 12/04/2018 18:29

She was clearly a reasonable person trying to apologise. Because reasonable people always want to have it out and demand people do as they're told Hmm

nursy1 · 12/04/2018 18:30

You did exactly the right thing op.
“Come outside and speak to me”. Why? So you could help her by walking in with her I think!
What was other Mums reaction to her coming in 45 mins late?

Mum2oneStepmum2two · 12/04/2018 18:31

*hits refresh every 5 seconds...

StringandGlitter · 12/04/2018 18:31

Exactly Dobby. OP said let’s forget and move on at least 3 times. Why’d we does she have a such a massive bee 🐝 in her bonnet?

xsquared · 12/04/2018 18:32

Definitely being manipulative by not giving you time to respond.

MrsMonkeyBear · 12/04/2018 18:32

mum2one I'm the same. I've only been reading these this afternoon and I'm hooked.

UnsuspectedItem · 12/04/2018 18:33

This is genuinely the most exciting thing I've read all day. I'm agog with nosiness about part 2

thoughtyousaidgin · 12/04/2018 18:33

Husband: what's with the Mumsnet refreshing, I've not done something wrong have I? Ha ha

Unreasonableunreasonableness · 12/04/2018 18:34

Part 2:
I was standing with party mum as they came in and she came straight over, I offered to take her dc over to the activity while party mum showed her where to leave her stuff. After that I went to stand with friend 1 and a couple of other mums near the activity. She came over and said 'shall we talk? ' I said ok and then waited while she just looked at me. I eventually said that I hoped we could just forget about the upset and move on. When she carried on looking at me friend 1 suggested we shake hands. We did and I said enjoy the party and went to stand with friend 3. Everything was fine after that except that I seemed to have a shadow the whole time. Every time I went for a drink she did too, joined a group to chat and there she was. I carried on as normal, involved her in conversation etc like i would anyone. She sat at a different table for dinner but I suspect that was because ours was full with friend 1+3 plus kids. I left first, paid on the way back from the loo, packed up and said goodbye to the group.

You are so good at putting the drama out!

Softzilla has made so many attempts to engage you in a quarrel worthy of teens on TV and you have quietly batted away each daft effort.

Hope you were able to enjoy the party !

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 12/04/2018 18:34

Is anyone else hearing an Eastenders style "Cahm outside you slaaaag! " vibe here?

StringandGlitter · 12/04/2018 18:34

And it’s taking ages. It’s going to be goooooooood!

Mum2oneStepmum2two · 12/04/2018 18:35

MrsMonkeyBear I’ve been involved since the beginning of the first thread! Even my husband asked how the lady with the nutty Softzilla is doing over the weekend coz I had chatted about the thread over dinner... I really need to get out more!

StoorieHoose · 12/04/2018 18:35

Can we talk then she stood there not saying anything? Would I fuck shake her hand! Shake my head and walk away from the crazy drama queen

Need9HoursSleep · 12/04/2018 18:36

I can't believe she was trying to stare you down! What a bullying cow she is

paranoidpammywhammy2 · 12/04/2018 18:37

The not speaking would have freaked me out.

nursy1 · 12/04/2018 18:37

So she gave you just silence. I would have been just like you op and spoken first but I’d wish I hadn’t.
Still not a bad outcome. You have her measure now. Be careful around her.
