Before you all get excited: no party yet (I was trying to keep when it was vague so more anonymous but i give up) . I have had a message from softzilla.

I am saying why has the OP twice texted SZ to say she is happy to put it behind her when she clearly doesn't mean it?

Putting it behind her doesn't mean she wants the friendship to continue the way it has been. Her behaviour has altered OPs view of their friendship and whilst she doesn't want to be enemies, neither does she want to return to lunch and play dates

We all have friends in the middle - happy to speak to at gatherings but wouldn't lunch or invite round

OP have other friends she'd rather spend her time and energy on thats all.

Happy for you to search my username and prove I've been on here for years. I personally just think this has all got a bit daft and am actually allowed to disagree (having read both threads).

I don't know softzilla or the op so have no idea as to how either may act in any situation, but then neither does anyone on here.

I'm willing to bet there's been tears at this party. (Softzillas attempt to further manipulate)

Op has been perfectly well behaved and suffered the scorn of the nutter even after she attempted to make amends. (The growling, the ignoring, the pathetic attempts to get op's friend to move seats away from her etc)

This has come to a head now because softzilla has isolated herself during her attempts to control others.
Get her blocked op and recognise her for what she is, an abusive bullying control freak.

Would it upset you if you two fell out and never spoke again ? If you don’t give two hoots then put the loon in her place and tell her to do one. Personally I’d take pleasure in telling her to off and enjoy giving her side eye, but most people aren’t like me.
She’s trying to mess with you, .....cut it off now. She is not a friend. Will your other friends back you ? Or would you be upset if she was out with them without you? Again if it’s no (and believe me I hope it’s no) then don’t be afraid to tell her you are not friends and will never be friends and to politely do one ! What a fruit and nut.
