I am a self-confessed perfectionist so am genuinely interested as to whether I am being over critical here.

I got a chair reupholstered, as per the picture below, and am not 100% satisfied with the outcome. Anyone else agree or am I being unrealistic?

Would you be disappointed with this?

I see absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Care to expand or leave us guessing?

arethereanyleftatall · 05/04/2018 21:30

What's wrong with it? (Assuming you chose fabric). Disclaimer - I know nothing of stuff like this.

JollyGiraffe · 05/04/2018 21:30

It's hard to know without knowing what your expectations were!

DelphiniumBlue · 05/04/2018 21:30

Can't see anything obviously wrong, what do you think is the matter with it?

flapjackfairy · 05/04/2018 21:30

What is wrong with it ?

TrippingTheVelvet · 05/04/2018 21:31

Looks brand new to me!

TenancyTroublesAgain · 05/04/2018 21:31

What were you expecting???

Nothisispatrick · 05/04/2018 21:31

It's a bit hard to guess what the issue is...

Eatsleepworkrepeat · 05/04/2018 21:31

I wouldn't see anything wrong with it. Where you hoping they'd pattern match the seat to the back?

twer · 05/04/2018 21:31

Is it the seams?

Would you be disappointed with this?
holycityzoo · 05/04/2018 21:31

The pattern hasn't been matched up. I wouldn't be happy either. The birds are crooked.

DarkRosaleen · 05/04/2018 21:32

Not keen on the fabric.

RunMummyRun68 · 05/04/2018 21:32

Oh I see it now!

holycityzoo · 05/04/2018 21:32

Twers put it better!

Thistledew · 05/04/2018 21:32

I guess if it is not obvious, then that is my answer!

I would have pattern matched on the seams on the back of the chair so that you ended up with whole birds rather than slices of ones.

ScreamingValenta · 05/04/2018 21:32

Is it the folding of the fabric at the bottom? Have to say, I looked hard for that - nothing is glaringly amiss.

LovesLaboursLost · 05/04/2018 21:32

I can’t see anything wrong.

bambi2908 · 05/04/2018 21:33

Is it because the birds aren’t lined up? I think that would annoy me too, that’s the first thing I noticed 😂

Thistledew · 05/04/2018 21:33

Exactly as twer has pointed out.

OP posts:
ThatPairOfCats · 05/04/2018 21:33

Patterns don't match. Sent cushion covers back for the same thing.

Firgoodnesssake · 05/04/2018 21:33

LOve the style of the chair (misses the point)

DorotheaHomeAlone · 05/04/2018 21:33

If I'd picked this print and spent a fair but I'd be hoping the pattern matched up. It's how I spot the difference in quality clothing with patterns or stripes.

missmapp · 05/04/2018 21:34

Is it because the print is cut off where it meets the seat? I think it looks good. The braiding seems nicely done and the print one is eve

TheGiggleLoop · 05/04/2018 21:35

Are you disappointed because the pattern doesn't line up along the back?

I think it looks fine and other people wouldn't notice. As it's a patterned fabric I think it's a risk that it would end up like this.

I'm torn because I know it'd be something that would annoy me... but because I know an imperfect line would bother me I'd probably have chosen a plain fabric rather than risk it.

If you really hate how it's turned out take it back but be prepared to have to pay again. Unless this issue was previously discussed and you were assured they would match it up.

KurriKurri · 05/04/2018 21:35

Hard to see exactly because I can;t enlarge your picture but from what i can see, i would say thta is quite poorly done - the fabric hasn't been matched propery on the top of the chair, and from what I can see it isn;t centred properly on the bottom. Did you choose the fabric ? - I imagine it is a fairly expensive fabric, if they showed you a fabric and said they could do it in that, then they have tried to cut corners and use less fabric to save money.
