I got into a habit of using my mac and at £23 a bottle i can't afford to use it everyday! What foundations do you use?

One by nyx. Not sure of the name, but it’s £6. If you go into a boots and have a look at the nyx stand they have quite a few options

weeblueberry · 28/03/2018 16:20

Bare Minerals Brightening Serum Foundation. It's £28 a bottle but you only use the tiniest amount on a brush and it has great coverage. A bottle normally lasts me about 3 months...

MsVestibule · 28/03/2018 16:21

I pay about the same for my Clinique foundation - I think an expensive foundation (well, that's expensive to me!) is worth it.

You might get a better range of answers if you ask MN to repost in Style and Beauty? They're a knowledgeable lot!

Catspaws · 28/03/2018 16:21

Fenty beauty. It's about £30 a bottle but I've had the same one for 3 months now and still not finished so it's good value! You really only need to use a tiny amount.

ExploryRory · 28/03/2018 16:22

Aldi concealer foundation. It’s brilliant! Ever since giving it a try it’s saved me a fortune as I used to buy Lancôme.

notsohippychick · 28/03/2018 16:23

Chanel vitalumiere Aqua. It’s pricey but I pay more for Foundation than I would for lippy or blusher x

ClemHFandango · 28/03/2018 16:23

I just got The Ordinary Coverage Foundation for my birthday and I really like it so far. It’s about £5, but feels more expensive.

SluttyButty · 28/03/2018 16:24

Boots no 7 lift and laminate, £16 a bottle I think.

Maverick66 · 28/03/2018 16:24

Dior forever. Use every day and lasts 3 months. £35 a bottle but I don't buy expensive blusher or bronzer. I use No 7 mascara

SluttyButty · 28/03/2018 16:25

Luminate not laminate 😂 That'll teach me to not check what autocorrect puts!

RaindropsAndSparkles · 28/03/2018 16:26

No 7. Foundation and powder combined. Comes in a little pot. About £13 and lasts about 8 weeks.

kimanda · 28/03/2018 16:28

I use

Re-Nutriv Ultra Radiance Lift Cream Makeup Soft Tan

Amazing. Feels like porcelain in my face. Smile

Do you now it's funny as I had my daughter to stay last night and she did my makeup. I've got cheap primark to Estée Lauder and my absolute favourite is my maybelline mouse! An old but a good one, it last, looks so lovely and only needs a very slight touch up late aft.

seabase · 28/03/2018 16:29

I use Mac and Max factor ... sometimes if I am feeling cheeky I will mix them together.

JesusTapdancingChrist · 28/03/2018 16:30

Skin type: normal/clear.
Desired coverage: light to medium. Dewy.

Am currently rotating between the following:

EL Double Wear Light

BareMinerals Complexion Rescue

L'Oreal Eau de Teint

L'Oreal True Match

Rimmel Fresher Skin

SaucyJack · 28/03/2018 16:31

Bourjois Air Mat.

It's quite thick and dry, so needs to be applied carefully- but it smoothed out any pores nicely.

Caulk · 28/03/2018 16:32

Bobbi Brown. It’s £££ but great. I don’t think I could go to anything else now.

DaphneduM · 28/03/2018 16:32

Just bought Stila Aqua Glow Serum foundation - lovely for more mature skin. Got it in an outlet type beauty shop for £14.99 but it's £34.50 online. It's got a very natural looking coverage but illuminating, if you know what I mean!!! Delighted with it.

Mamabear14 · 28/03/2018 16:33

I like the rimmel 25hr one. My skin is being a bit of a dick at the moment so I am mixing the rimmel wake me up which is way too orange on my caspar skin with a bit of Kat von D. I always set it with Ben nye translucent powder. It is the only thing that keeps my oily skin at bay. Rimmel foundations less than a tenner each too!

Bare Minerals - Original foundation (powder) but at £28 a pop its roughly the same cost.

Kaz2200 · 28/03/2018 16:52

The Ordinary serum foundation amazing!!!!

Skarossinkplunger · 28/03/2018 16:56

Have a look at The Ordinary. Their foundations are excellent, come in a serum and non serum formular in 27 shades. You can get them here

www.victoriahealth.com/

Skarossinkplunger · 28/03/2018 16:57

Haha Kaz2200

Skarossinkplunger · 28/03/2018 16:59

Seriously, look at the skincare too. It’s awesome! Oh my god and the primer! Does a better job than high end primers for about a fiver!
