I got into a habit of using my mac and at £23 a bottle i can't afford to use it everyday! What foundations do you use?

Bare minerals matt power. It lasts ages and I have tried many foundation over the years and nothing comes close.

BoeandBall · 28/03/2018 17:12

I use Collection lasting perfection foundation which is £5.99 and I use the lasting perfection concealer as well which is a bit cheaper, they're both amazing! The concealer is so good for under eye bags and matches the foundation perfectly. The foundation coverage is medium and goes on lovely

Bojangles33 · 28/03/2018 17:14

I used to swear by Chanel but found the new formulations just don't suit my skin. Tried Boots No 7 Beautifully Matte foundation as a stop gap and I love it. I use the light coverage one for day to day wear. Their airbrush illusions primer is also fab and there are usually 3 for 2 deals on.

battenbergbutterfly · 28/03/2018 17:16

I use the maybelline concealer as my overall foundation and love it!

LostMyBaubles · 28/03/2018 17:17

...

andyandapril · 28/03/2018 17:17

Kat von D lock it. U need the smallest amount ever for amazing coverage and no caking. Economical in the long run.

knowwhereyourheadis · 28/03/2018 17:18

I've switched to Garnier BB cream, I find it so much easier than foundation.

Neverender · 28/03/2018 17:18

The Ordinary foundation is £5.60 a bottle and is saving me a bloody fortune!

MagnetarMum · 28/03/2018 17:32

Estee Lauder Double Wear which my daughter also uses. However, she's just discovered that Primark do a knock off version which is excellent for a fraction of the price. She swears it's as good. I'm going to give that a try next.

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 28/03/2018 17:34

Boots No7 for everyday & Illamsqua for decent as it's £35 I think.

Oswin · 28/03/2018 17:39

I was using loreal infallable matte because my skin was so oily.
Now its got much better i have had to find something else.
Boots No 7 airbrush foundation is amazing. Its so soft.

2000lightyearsaway · 28/03/2018 17:41

I use the rimmil one in a round bottle with a red top. It’s good but doesn’t last super long. My other light coverage fav is Mac face and body.

Luckingfovely · 28/03/2018 17:47

Lifelong Double Wear user, in process of switching to The Ordinary.

Mcdreary · 28/03/2018 17:54

La girl pro coverage - dewy and lightweight
Makeup forever hd foundation stick - easy and quick satin finish
Kat Von d lock it - heavy duty and matte
Bare minerals powder foundation -over the top of any concealer for extra longevity and coverage or on its own for easy quick coverage

I have heard awesome things on the ordinary foundation. I’m dying to try the new tarte shape tape foundation, I love the concealer.

revelsandrose · 28/03/2018 18:07

I swear by estee Lauder double wear but just can't afford it so next best thing for me is Revlon colourstay.

Celticrose · 28/03/2018 18:08

Pur mineral compact foundation. You can have light to whatever coverage you want. Have ditched my BB creams. So easy to use. Doesn't come with an applicator but I have any no of brushes. Have only seen it in M & S and usually buy a few when there is a offer on

Mcdreary · 28/03/2018 18:22

A lot of people suggestions doublewear... I tried it and hated it.

Does no one else think it is very cakey and dry?

jaseyraex · 28/03/2018 18:22

I use ELF for every day wear. Can be quite thick so a little goes a long way. Used to only be able to get it online but superdrug stock it now, about £7.99 a bottle. I also use Kat Von D lock it foundation but tend to use it more sparingly as it's a bit more expensive!

FloydOnThePull · 28/03/2018 18:34

Estee Lauder double wear maximum cover. I've used it for almost 20 years, have tried others (I will buy maybelline mousse if I'm desperate) but never found anything that is nearly as good

revelsandrose · 28/03/2018 19:26

Mcdreary I have Oily skin and never used moisturiser before makeup. But as I've got older have found I have to use moisturiser with double wear or it definitely looks cakey. I know a few older women who use it and it does tend to look a bit dry on them sometimes.

Pfftkids · 28/03/2018 19:36

Another one for Estee lauder double wear and maximum cover. Ive used them for the last 20 years.

I've heard about one of the Primark ones being just as good, I can't remember what one it is though. Will need to give it a try

BarryTheKestrel · 28/03/2018 19:39

Maybelline 24 hour for every day use.
Urban Decay all nighter for going out/needed high coverage.

I have always used a cheapy for everyday use and a more expensive one for nights out/occasions.

joystir59 · 28/03/2018 19:40

I don't even know what foundation is.

steff13 · 28/03/2018 19:45

That's surprising

Mrsmadevans · 28/03/2018 19:45

Me neither Joystir lol
