HELP! Dd has accidentally bought me a penis candle!

aimeeniamh59 · 23/03/2018 09:30

Dd in year 9 got back from her French exchange in Paris yesterday - she bought presents for me, Dh and both her siblings.

One problem - she bought me what she thought was an innocent Eiffel Tower candle. It clearly isn’t.

Should I break it to her?

Sorry.... They actually said good bonker! Autocorrect!

TalkinBoutWhat · 23/03/2018 09:39

Um, just light the damn thing until you just have the proper Eiffel tower base left? Shouldn't be that hard, should it?

LipstickHandbagCoffee · 23/03/2018 09:40

Ahh,bless she tried to do right thing buying mum a gift.say nowt and burn the candle

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 23/03/2018 09:40

Say “thank you darling” and burn it tonight. Problem solved by tomorrow.

wentmadinthecountry · 23/03/2018 09:41

Dd is Y9 (all girls school) and just back from a Paris trip. If she'd bought me that, she'd have known exactly what it was!!

HuskyMcClusky · 23/03/2018 09:42

But that thing in the picture isn’t a candle; it’s made of rubber. Confused

kimanda · 23/03/2018 09:42

Best thread of the day so far!! Grin

kimanda · 23/03/2018 09:43

Pic please OP (of the candle?) Smile

Weebo · 23/03/2018 09:43

Actually, on Googling Effiel Tower candles I have discovered some of them are quite penisy.

Particularly at the tip. I mean top.

Ginkypig · 23/03/2018 09:44

Just light it, it won't look like that for long.

BennyTheBall · 23/03/2018 09:46

Post a picture. Not a link.

kimanda · 23/03/2018 09:47

I have googled them too, but can't see one that looks ANYthing like a willie!

Either the OP's daughter is having her on, or the OP is having US on! Grin

MilannoCoffee · 23/03/2018 09:48

Are you sure she thinks it's an innocent Eiffel Tower candle, OP? Are you sure she's not having you on for a dare?

As year nine students at an all-girls school, me and my friends would've all known exactly what this was.

Lethaldrizzle · 23/03/2018 09:48

If she's sees the Eiffel tower then surely that's what it is, for the sake of protecting her innocence! Or you could have a nice chat about sex! 'Don't you think that looks like a penis?' etc Wink

user1499333856 · 23/03/2018 09:49

Ah, that's so funny and sweet.

Don't embarrass her. Just light it and smile.

It's a story for future years.

kimanda · 23/03/2018 09:49

Ah ha year NINE. I read it as she was NINE. Oh yeah, year nine is like 14 y.o.? She knows what it is. Smile

morningconstitutional2017 · 23/03/2018 09:50

If you burn it um, past the 'point' it will look more innocent, won't it? She may well not have noticed it. There are quite a few 'questionable' images around of this landmark, such as a postcard of a model in a mini-skirt with the Eiffel Tower photographed between her legs, is that worse?

kimanda · 23/03/2018 09:51

Actually THIS one is a bit penisey... Grin

What an odd story

Yep, I suspect OP is trying to get into Classics with her "hilarious" tale Hmm
