If it is something a bit controversial or requires a bit of thought I don't post on it unless they have a posting history. It's probably a troll or a PBP otherwise.

Sometimes you just remember things.

Some people just have a good memory, if Ive been on a few threads with you I will remember stuff that has been said.

Agree -always think it is a bit sad and odd. "Back in 2002 you said....". Just makes you think some people have far too much time on their hands or need a hobby.

Not creepy at all. Informed is a better description, particularly when some posters are lying for some reason - attention, perhaps?

Yep, it is a bit odd. Sometimes you definitely remember a certain poster/thread and I think it's fine to bring something up if its relevant and you do genuinely just remember it. To go rooting through posts is a bit odd though.

A poster came on here not long ago and I remembered them posting the exact same weird thread on Netmums so I did say something. I just remembered it though coz I'd thought it was weird on there too

Me too. It's no different to talking to someone in RL who claims one thing, but the week before they'd claimed the complete opposite.
