.....

OP posts:
Rottweilers · 24/02/2018 20:49

Probably the thread where a bloke came on to slag his wife to the high heavens in every respect possible - then got angry when other MN users trashed him for it.
If I remember rightly, the wife also commented.

toolonglurking · 24/02/2018 20:50

Any thread when someone asks if they might be pregnant.
How the fuck would we know!?

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 24/02/2018 20:51

What's yours OP?

OhDearToby · 24/02/2018 20:51

The supersoaker one. Never had mumsnet been so united (apart from the op).

littlebillie · 24/02/2018 20:52

Ahh they probably are pregnant as you are slightly off kilter when pregnant. I through my positive result in the bin as I had misunderstood the instructions, it took me two more days to realise I was pregnant. Now if I had MN account then....

Whatshallidonowpeople · 24/02/2018 20:52

Far too many to pick one. Perhaps we could do an all time top 10? The penis cup was a good one

QueenOfTheAndals · 24/02/2018 20:52

Anything by beaniebabies aka the 20yo millionaire with a house in the Cotswalds, private jet, Hermes Birkin at the Portland etc.

Bluedoglead · 24/02/2018 20:52

You haven’t even bothered to make an effort to engage op. Which newspaper is this for

JeReviens · 24/02/2018 20:53

One where the lazy arse OP just put ......... instead of, you know, WORDS

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 24/02/2018 20:55

I'm seeing more threads these days where the OP is just having a mad rant and makes very little sense. There's no question or AIBU just someone going off on one about the minutiae of her day.

fruityb · 24/02/2018 20:55

Maui.

allthegoodnameshadgone · 24/02/2018 20:56

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 24/02/2018 20:56

allthegoodnameshadgone · 24/02/2018 20:56

Link please goddam spell check

GertrudeCB · 24/02/2018 20:57

Any thread that doesn't have punctuation.

LockedOutOfMN · 24/02/2018 20:58

Penis beaker was quite good.

I liked the one last summer (username Yvonne something? She has a bookshop) about the OP bemoaning not being 'bikini ready' but in a hilarious and very articulate way.

stitchglitched · 24/02/2018 20:58

A few years ago now but I've never forgotten. The OP was heavily pregnant and had given her DP and his friend a lift home after they'd been out drinking, driving down country lanes in the dark. The drunk friend kept punching the back of her driver's seat really hard for a laugh, hurting her, obviously upsetting her and distracting her whilst she was trying to drive. She was upset that he'd done it, wouldn't stop and her DP didn't step in.

The replies were ridiculous- she was being pathetic for expecting her DP to speak up, why couldn't she fight her own battles. And she really shouldn't be driving if she is so easily spooked, if she can't cope with a man punching the back of her seat hard whilst she's 8 months pregnant without getting distracted how would she cope with a crying baby in the back? Utterly batshit.

FreeNiki · 24/02/2018 21:01

99% of threads.

Pictures of a pissed on pregnancy test. Is there a line there? Put your glasses on or test again tomorrow but if you cant see it a blurry photo ain't gonna help.

I told this person where to go, was I right? You felt you were and it cant be undone now, why do you need validation from strangers as to your decision?

I stopped some preteens from fighting in the street and Im shaking now. Yeah. And. So. What. Why do you need an audience and validation.

Humble bragging.

Bragging bragging.

Fuck off.

ItchySeveredFoot · 24/02/2018 21:02

sitch I remember that thread. Some people are cunts.

DaphneFanshaw · 24/02/2018 21:04

There was one, many years ago about a night out gone wrong.
One woman apparently told another woman that one of the women on the night out had died. She was then hysterical and when the friend who was supposed to be dead but wasn't appeared, she had to explain that she wasn't dead, hysterical friend then became even more hysterical as she thought dead friend was a ghost.
It made a for a very amusing, if not bizarre read.

runawaywithme07 · 24/02/2018 21:11

Smear tests were invented not to save lives, but for men to subordinate women by penetrating them with metal implements Hmm

RedDogsBeg · 24/02/2018 21:12

The most ridiculous were actually a series of threads about a member of One Direction, Louis Tomlinson, whose girlfriend had given birth to their son. The reasons for these being the most ridiculous are that posters, mothers themselves and probably old enough to be his mother, were:

  1. Putting forward and believing an internet conspiracy theory about the birth
  2. Calling his and another band member's sexuality into question
  3. Disparaging the mother of his child in a million offensive and ludicrous ways
  4. Calling themselves as followers of said batshit internet conspiracy theory by a twee group name which was the two band members names shortened and joined together
  5. Behaving like lovesick teenagers with a crush who'd spent too long reading teen magazines

I think all the threads, there were several, were deleted thankfully but it really was the the lowest of ridiculous low points in MN History and gave the lie to the belief that MN posters were intelligent and credible.

stitchglitched · 24/02/2018 21:14

I remember those RedDog, apparently the baby was really a doll Hmm

Dailystuck71 · 24/02/2018 21:14

Brian from Hull.

RedDogsBeg · 24/02/2018 21:16

They were dreadful stitch the posters on them should be ashamed of themselves.
