2yo drank persil

Just got in from long journey home from weekend away. Was getting DSs supper ready, turned round to find him drinking from the persil bottle he had got from the recycling.

I'm waiting for NHS direct to call me back, but thought someone here may know what to do?

I think a&e, OP. Hope he's ok.

youngnomore · 18/02/2018 20:45

A&E

LoudestRoar · 18/02/2018 20:45

I think a&e too. Make sure you take the bottle with you.

InspireMyHoliday · 18/02/2018 20:46

I would go to a&e. Take the bottle with you.

kaytee87 · 18/02/2018 20:46

A&E !!!

Jesus Christ

GloGirl · 18/02/2018 20:47

Agree with a&E and take bottle with you. If two of you go there should be a number on Percil bottle you can phone whilst you travel.

GummyGoddess · 18/02/2018 20:47

A&E now, don't wait for the call back

AnnaT45 · 18/02/2018 20:47

A&E hope he's ok

DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops · 18/02/2018 20:47

A&E, with the bottle.

Fattymcfaterson · 18/02/2018 20:48

Hang on, was it an empty bottle? Did he actually get any in his mouth?!

steff13 · 18/02/2018 20:48

I'd give him a little milk and call poison control, it whatever the equivalent is. If it was in recycling there must not have been much in the bottle.

AliceWhiting · 18/02/2018 20:49

In the recycling? How much was in it? If lots, A&E. If not, watch and wait. My PFB drank the contents of the loo-brush holder when he was a toddler. I am still traumatised 18 years on, but he has survived.

chequeplease · 18/02/2018 20:49

Hopefully he didn't get too much out, if it was in the recycling bin already.
But definitely a&e to be sure.
Wishing you all well Thanks

MrsJayy · 18/02/2018 20:49

What everybody else said take him to hospital and take the detergent with you.

Whwhywhy · 18/02/2018 20:50

Liquid Persil burns, even just his lips.

awankstainonhumanity · 18/02/2018 20:50

It was empty but some still round the top. I could smell it in his mouth. I've wiped his mouth out.

kaytee87 · 18/02/2018 20:52

Seriously op, I don't mean to be rude but get off Mumsnet and go to bloody A&E

QueenOfGaviscon · 18/02/2018 20:52

What persil was it specifically? The look up COSHH guidance for it

SweepTheHalls · 18/02/2018 20:52

Straight to A and E

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 18/02/2018 20:52

Straight to A and E x

MollyHuaCha · 18/02/2018 20:54

Def A&E. Hope he's ok.

UniversalTruth · 18/02/2018 20:54

@whywhywhy liquitabs are not the same as liquid in a bottle. I hope he is ok OP. I would wait for 111 to call back.

MaverickSnoopy · 18/02/2018 20:54

Milk. Now. My DD did similar not that long ago and 111 connected me to a paramedic who said if I hadn't done it already (which I had) that I needed to.

I phoned 111 and she was fine but then I'm not entirely convinced she really got that much. So I think A&E.

scaevola · 18/02/2018 20:54

A&E immediately if symptomatic - vomiting, stomach pains, confusion drowsiness, fainting.

Otherwise wait for 111 callback
