Which theories, dismissed by many as conspiracy theories, do you regard as the truth?

Paperdoll and Hateful Fatima is a place in Portugal where Our Lady ( Mary, mother of Christ) ' appeared' to a young. Girl.

Elledouble · 18/02/2018 16:25

I think we’re going to get some shocks when the rest of the high-profile paedophiles start dying off and things become public.

NameChanger22 · 18/02/2018 16:25

I think Princess Diana was probably murdered. I think a lot of high profile people have been murdered that we don't even know about. Lots of times the excuse of suicide, drug overdose etc is given. There are people that are very inconvenient to have around.

I think David Crowley and his family was definitely murdered. There was certainly a motive. Why make a propaganda film about it otherwise?

isthismummy · 18/02/2018 16:25

Nice one Birdsgottafly People don't want to believe the 'conspiracy theories' then they'd have to accept the world is ran by a bunch of evil, amoral bastards! How dare some of us question the version of events we are fed? Even when that version has massive gaping holes in it?

isthismummy · 18/02/2018 16:27

Elliedouble have you read about The Franklin Cover Up? Now that's a truly chilling story.

HeartOfSass · 18/02/2018 16:28

I think 9/11 was real not conspiracy. I don't see why people think it wasn't real. Those planes definitely went into the buildings, why wouldn't a building with something as large as a plane stuck in it still stand? The structural stressloads during construction would never have been calculated to include the enormous weight of a jet airliner stuck in it. Then added to it the weight of the destabilised top part of the building above the plane - plus then the heat from the fuel explosion which would weaken the structure further - it's like slicing the top off an egg. Too heavy, it was always going to fall down.

There are quite a few conspiracy theories surrounding Fatima. Two girls and a boy claimed they saw a vision of the Virgin Mary. Quite frankly I don't think these children saw anything. Or if they did it was imagined. The church has authenticated the visions but I am reliably informed Catholics aren't obliged to believe in them. Sigh of relief. Then there was a bit of a mystery to do with a third secret that wasn't disclosed for decades and then supposedly was and it was all an anticlimax.

Then one of the visionaries became a nun and there's a conspiracy that she was a substitute for the original one. It's all online if anybody's interested. Something odd there. Don't know quite what.

grannytomine · 18/02/2018 16:29

Two girls and one boy at Fatima, the Virgin appeared and gave the children some secret information. Lots of speculation about it foretelling the end of the Roman Catholic Church, is this the last Pope etc.

BusterGonad · 18/02/2018 16:29

I think that we are heavily fed by the media as to what we should believe,
and to believe it all is very naive.

I think a lot of shit goes on and we are given facts that have a fraction of truth to them.

DorisDangleberry · 18/02/2018 16:30

Adolf Hitler clearly escaped the bunker. He dyed his hair blond, shaved off his moustache and is currently Foreign Secretary

megletthesecond · 18/02/2018 16:30

Jill Dando.
She knew something awful was going on with Saville etc and was going to speak up.

Conniedescending · 18/02/2018 16:31

I quite like the fake PAUL one (faul)

Vanillaradio · 18/02/2018 16:31

He didn't say much, just that he was working in one of the other buildings on site, became aware of a noise and commotion outside (presumably after the first hit) so went to the window and then heard a roaring noise, looked up and saw what he said was obviously a large aeroplane seconds before it hit the tower.

Commuterface · 18/02/2018 16:31

Paul/Faul McCartney

KitKat1985 · 18/02/2018 16:32

The only 'conspiracy theory' I believe is that Jeremy Hunt and the rest of the Conservative party are deliberately running the NHS into the ground (so they can get more support for abandoning the idea of free national health and move over to an US-style health insurance system).

Commuterface · 18/02/2018 16:32

Cross post Connie

Jaygee61 · 18/02/2018 16:32

Princess Diana died because she wasn't wearing a seatbelt. The one person in the car who was wearing one survived.

I do believe that Lee Harvey Oswald was a patsy.

I do believe that man landed on the moon.

I believe that Pope John Paul I's death was not due to natural causes.

FairiesVsPixies · 18/02/2018 16:32

Area 51 is a huge film set where they faked the moon landings.

There have been six manned missions to the moon.
There just haven't Hmm

DannyLaRuesBestFrock · 18/02/2018 16:32

I think Jill Dando got too close to the paedophile ring and was taken out.

100% agree.

chirpyburbycheapsheep · 18/02/2018 16:33

There's a fascinating documentary on amazon about 9/11...it involved experts from all over the world holding a convention about how things didn't add up...there were engineers there...I think they mentioned that no building had ever fallen perfectly straight down (as opposed to leaning) due to fire and then on 9/11, three buildings fell into their footprint in one day which was statistically unlikely to say the least....they made a very good case for controlled explosions as it can take days to set up a building for demolition so that it doesn't tip to the side and surrounding areas...also witnesses described hearing explosions just before the buildings fell...

Then there is the reporting by the BBC of world trade centre 7 (I think) falling before it actually had...

But who knows...I am a sceptical person, I like to question everything - this goes for conspiracy theories as well as the 'official line'...I listen to the evidence and I try and keep an open mind...

whatsthecomingoverthehill · 18/02/2018 16:33

It's one thing to think there are things we are not being told. It's another to believe the witterings of conspiracy theorists whose alternative stories are like a Dan Brown novel.

BusterGonad · 18/02/2018 16:34

Jimmy fucking Savile says it all really, oh how we were told what a saint he was, oh how we were all suppose to love him. Everyone knew he was a filthy peado but he was still jammed down our throats as some kind hero.

WeirdAndPissedOff · 18/02/2018 16:35

That technology in your home/office etc "listens" to you and collects data - phones, X-boxes, Alexa etc.

The mega-rich in the government and media want a return to Victorian era Britain where the rich prosper, the poor work themselves to death/poverty/the workhouse and there are no provisions for disabilities/immigration/women/social healthcare. To that effect, they're deliberately mis-spending money, manipulating figures and using the media to whip up a frenzy and point the blame at scroungers/forriners/the EU. (Eg the latest "how your tax is spent" statement - the "welfare" spending figure includes public sector pensions and spending on some home healthcare (carers, support workers etc) - decreasing the pensions and healthcare figures and increasing welfare to skew the picture and justify cuts).

Flat Earth - I don't for one second believe in this, but if you read some of the more serious sites they actually make it sound almost plausible. (At least until you remember there's life south of the equator, anyway).

overnightangel · 18/02/2018 16:35

“ definitely think man has walked on the moon, just not in 1969. I think it happened on one of the later landings and 1969 was all propaganda because the Americans simply didn't want the Russians to beat them to it.”

I don’t agree but that’s an interesting and plausible view.

We definitely landed on the moon, i think. I base this on the fact there were 6 manned missions and many thousands of people would have to be complicit in keeping their mouths shut, surely someone involved would have blabbed by now?

DwangelaForever · 18/02/2018 16:36

I don't think men walked on the moon. I weirdly believe the real paul McCartney is dead and was replaced 😂 but only because of the earlobe thing!
