Is this just a little sad?

I'm single. Would I look a little sad (and stand out!!) if I went to the cinema on my own? I've nobody to go with and REALLY want to see this particular film. I usually just wait until they come out on Sky, but this one is really calling me. Would you go in your own?

I would totally go to the cinema, restaurant, gig, whatever on my own, and have done plenty of times. Why not?! Enjoy yourself!

I would. I've been to a gig on my own as no one liked the same band. I ended up being 'looked after' by a load of guys over from NI who made sure I got safely into a taxi afterwards.

I've only done this since having DS but it's actually lovely, no arguments about what film to see, as much snack stuff as you want and no one to share it with!

I've done this loads of times, nobody cares, it's totally fine.

I go on my own quite often! Often my DH and I see the same film in the same week, but separately as we have no babysitter! No one will care, honestly. Enjoy your film.

I get the urge to do it once in a while OP. No one interrupting and munching in my ear - bliss.

Just adding to everyone else who's said they've been on their own. I wear comfy clothes and snuggle up with popcorn or some other treat, I've never felt weird or like I stood out!

I’m married and work shifts and do it all the time. Total indulgence!
