BIL’s wedding in August, dh is best man, dd (14) bridesmaid and ds (11) an usher.

It won’t be super formal but I wanted something different to just a normal dress. Would wear hair in a messy side bun with a flower probably and have ordered a pair of gorgeous matching heels.

Opinions please lovely mumsnetters..Smile

I love it. Jumpsuits are my favourite and that’s a particularly nice one.
The shoes are lovely too.

BlondeB83 · 21/01/2018 09:14

It’s lovely!

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 21/01/2018 09:14

Is it grey or white?

BexleyRae · 21/01/2018 09:15

That's lovely, you will look fab

thebear1 · 21/01/2018 09:15

Lovely.

howthelightgetsin · 21/01/2018 09:15

Asking as you’re tall(ish), it’s great.

kaytee87 · 21/01/2018 09:16

I personally wouldn't wear something mainly white to someone's wedding. It is a nice jumpsuit though.

Wilburissomepig · 21/01/2018 09:16

I LOVE it, but I wouldn't wear white/ivory to someone else's wedding. It may just have enough grey on it though, maybe I'm just old fashioned. Grin

CottonSock · 21/01/2018 09:17

Wasn't there a thread on here saying never wear white to a wedding unless bride?

AnaWinter · 21/01/2018 09:17

It is lovely but I wouldn’t wear white

OhBergine · 21/01/2018 09:17

I really like it and the shoes are nice too. But I think it's a bit "white" to wear to another's wedding...

BifsWif · 21/01/2018 09:19

Love it!

Crumbs1 · 21/01/2018 09:19

Mmmnnn personally I dislike it. Are you very tall and slim? If you’re carrying a few extra pounds, it might not be flattering. The shoes will sink in the grass.

Bluntness100 · 21/01/2018 09:20

I also would not wear that to someone's wedding party. It will look like you desperately want to be part of the wedding party too. I'd go for something with a different base colour.

QueenArnica · 21/01/2018 09:20

BreakfastatSquiffanys ha I’ve just been reading about the mother in law who’s wearing white at the wedding.. it’s neither, hard to describe but it’s a very pale colour with black and grey detail. Definitely wouldn’t mix me up with the bride!

To white ---no don't compete with bride

QueenArnica · 21/01/2018 09:21

It’s definitely not white!! Yes I’m relatively tall and slim.

I like it but as others have said, don’t wear white to someone else’s wedding

Treaclespongeandcustard · 21/01/2018 09:23

I think it's gorgeous. Maybe you should run it by the bride and see whether she thinks it'd be ok. I wouldn't mind if I was the bride but I'd be tempted to include her in the discussion so that you can avoid any uncomfortable feelings.

Pugsleypugs · 21/01/2018 09:24

It's a bit close to the mark for me so if you do decide yo wear it I would make sure you have a bright handbag or something similar to break up the v.pale / white a bit more.

QueenArnica · 21/01/2018 09:24

And I am part of the wedding party, staying with the bride the night before having my hair done etc. Smile

I like it and wouldn't have cared if anyone wore it to my wedding! Pale colours are totally fine at a wedding imo x

sonjadog · 21/01/2018 09:25

To me it looks like it could be one of those outfits that looks great in theory but not in reality, so I’d order it up early and try it out, and make sure I could return if necessary.

calzone · 21/01/2018 09:25

It’s lovely......wear it.

I honestly wouldn’t have noticed if anyone was wearing white at my wedding......I was clearly the bride.

Times have changed.
No one cares.

Wear it.
