They've changed Lucozade. The CUNTS!!

I am ill. I needed Lucozade.

My beautiful, darling child trekked off to the local Tesco to get me some and...

...the fuckers have changed it. It tastes weird. Can't put my finger on it, but it's weird.

It's Winter. People are unwell. They NEED their Lucozade.

Why is everything changing? Can't we have ONE THING??

It’s a scandal, I realised this recently. The fuckers have put aspartame in it...I refuse to buy it anymore.

Omg! I had the orange Lucazade a couple of weeks ago. It's my absolute favourite and it was horrible!

It tasted like sherbet Angry Sad

Yup there was a thread about this a while back. They’ve upped the sweetener to make it more ‘healthy’ Hmm.

Surely the whole point of Lucozade is glucose and medicinal joy!!!

Oh no! My husband is type 1 diabetic and would keep this in his work van in case of a hypo. I’ll have to let him know!

They put out a notice about it a while back because of the number of diabetics who would need to be aware of the modified content.

I hate how you can't buy anything without some sort of sweetener in it. My health visitor told me my lo isn't allowed anything with sweeteners until at least 3 .

Lucozade isn't making children fat. Children surely drink coke and red bull chasers? Only hungover women on the underground on Saturday morning equipped with salt and vinegar crisps, and women doing the pregnancy diabetes test drink Lucozade? That is the entire fucking market, and Mintel are welcome to my extensive research.

@JudgeTinder some of the supermarkets own lucozades still have the same amount of sugar if he's hypo. Or you can buy glucose powder make it with water and orange squash much cheaper and works so quick!

They changed it quite some time ago. I think they reduced the sugar and replaced it with artificial sweeters. There was outrage a while ago on mn, around the same time as Cadburys messed around with the creme egg contents.

Oh bugger it, DS1 is Type 1 too Judge and we also have Lucozade in case of hypos! If it helps my Mum is also Type 1 and she has Coke because she doesn’t like the taste of Lucozade, and she says it works a treat Smile

This has been going on for a good 6-8 months.

Working temporarily in a department which deals with diabetics, this was a huge deal.

Staff in the antenatal clinics didn't know and all the GD tests were wrong.

Two people I worked alongside noticed that there was a sudden drop in the number of pregnant women diagnosed with gestational diabetes and realised that the Glucose Challenge test wasn't being done with enough glucose......

They have halved the glucose content. Look on the label - new stuff says 8.9g of glucose. Old Lucozade before they messed with it had 17g It's bloody awful and I'm not buying it ever again. It doesn't even taste like Lucozade any more so what's the point?

If you look hard enough you can still find the old Lucozade. Some of the discount pound shops still have old stock - big supermarkets all have the new stuff.

IKR! I was unwell recently with tonsillitis and bought some, mainly as a comfort because my dad always brought me original Lucozade when I was poorly.
It didn't taste the same, and kind of defeated the object when I was trying to ingest some calories by any means necessary, having not eaten for two days :(
On the plus side I managed to drink it without being sick.
