To expect dp to clean his own shit up

sillysausage16 · 19/12/2017 17:33

Every day without fail, often more than once there is shit splattered all over the back of the toilet bowl which I have to clean.

Is it unreasonable to ask the shitter to clean it himself, before it hardens so that i practically need a chisel to get it off.

Fucking enrages me. Its DISGUSTING. He's a 40 year old man who's mother clearly did everything for him

Why would he stop when you will without always clean it up?

His mother may have enabled him but clearly you do too. So quit complaining.

gamerchick · 19/12/2017 17:35

They’re all trained in my house. They have to slime the toilet with toilet gel after they’ve flushed and before they leave the room. Skids usually go on the next flush plus leaves the toilet usable for the next person.

Read him the riot act if it’s bugging you. If you clean it and haven’t said anything he might not have a clue.

BornInSydneyy · 19/12/2017 17:35

*without fail

confusedhelpme · 19/12/2017 17:36

However ...... I can't bare a shit splatted toilet. If OP didn't clean it, it would prob stay like it

Snowman41 · 19/12/2017 17:38

Why would you not just say the first time you see it? Do you not talk to him?

JacquesHammer · 19/12/2017 17:39

which I have to clean

No. You don't.

Stop doing it for him and make the manchild clean up after himself.

RemainOptimistic · 19/12/2017 17:40

Grim. Do you even have to ask if you're UR to tell him to clean up after his own bowel movements!

Shoxfordian · 19/12/2017 17:43

Ugh..that's so disgusting

Ltb

laudanum · 19/12/2017 17:43

Does he use FB? Post a status on his wall and say you're tired of cleaning up his shitty mess. Shame him into it ;)

(Note this might not go to plan, but it has worked for me in the last when an ex was being a useless wanker and the only way i could get his attention to fix it, was to post on his FB wall, cos he wasted his life on there).

Men are revolting creatures that never actually turn into adults, they just get taller.

sillysausage16 · 19/12/2017 17:44

I have told him over and over and over and he just doesn't do it.

Oh yes il just leave it should I and allow it to build up. He doesn't care but I do!!! I can't live like a scruff

PollyBanana · 19/12/2017 17:45

My DH has twice in 25 years left the loo in a really unacceptable condition. (worse than just underwater skid marks). Both times I asked him to sort it out so that I could use a decent loo.
He apologised and cleaned it

JacquesHammer · 19/12/2017 17:45

I have told him over and over and over and he just doesn't do it

Of course he doesn't because he knows you will.

I genuinely don't understand how people can find such grim specimens attractive

notacooldad · 19/12/2017 17:45

Men are revolting creatures that never actually turn into adults, they just get taller.
WTF?

LoveInTokyo · 19/12/2017 17:46

Do you do other household tasks he does care about, like cooking or laundry? If so, stop.

sillysausage16 · 19/12/2017 17:46

I actually think he was brought up thinking there is such a thing as women's work Angry

He is slowly realising that I also work full time and I'm not his maid cook or cleaner.

Maybe withholding food would work as cooking is also something he can't do. Unless it's a pot noodle

OP posts:
Lilymoose · 19/12/2017 17:47

You can't make him do anything but i feel your pain, my husband is the same and they don't care if people come round and see his shit stains!

Insomnibrat · 19/12/2017 17:47

I worked in a hotel and had a weekly guest. He'd weekly regular as clockwork shit the bed.
I often wondered if he did 6x of bedding at home every week or just kept on sleeping in his own shitty bed.

Notreallyarsed · 19/12/2017 17:48

Then you need to tell him more firmly OP. It’s disgusting to leave a toilet soiled and incredibly disrespectful to a) expect you to clean it and b) not have the respect for your feelings to clean up his own faeces.

I have a rule in our house, unless I gave birth to you and you’re under 10 (stomach bugs notwithstanding) then I am not prepared to deal with bodily fluids. It’s that simple.

crazycatgal · 19/12/2017 17:48

@Insomnibrat Was he not banned for repeatedly soiling the bed?

Mishappening · 19/12/2017 17:49

I think there are several things you could withhold until he gets the message!

Insomnibrat · 19/12/2017 17:51

No. We just kept handballing the linen and sending it off to the dry cleaners. It was a business contract the hotel didn't want to lose, obviously!

jinglebells123 · 19/12/2017 17:51

^what she says! Withhold cooking, washing and sex - see how quickly he responds!

laudanum · 19/12/2017 17:52

notacooldad

Problem dear?

CosmicCanary · 19/12/2017 17:52

So he doesnt clean. Doesnt cook. You work full time.
What DOES he do OP?

Notreallyarsed · 19/12/2017 17:55

Men are revolting creatures that never actually turn into adults, they just get taller

Nope. DP cleans up after himself, does his share of the housework and doesn’t leave the loo in a vile state. Neither does my Dad and I’ll be damned if my sons do either. I think you mean SOME men, not men.
