To expect not to be whispered about in the school carpark ?

Grrrrr !!!

So - basically two other mums at school - I have sort of fallen out with both of them about minor things over the last year or so - and today they were standing in the carpark whispering behind their hands and GIGGLING fgs quite clearly about me !!

How old am I? err 40 ? How old do I feel ? 13 !!

D'you really want to know ??

OK - first one sells clothes - party-plan thing and I thought we were pretty good friends - I had a couple of "parties" for her where she sold a fair bit of stuff to my friends. Anyway, I went to someone elses' party and she blanked me - left the room every time I walked in etc and gave me some pretty harsh looks. I have no idea why ?? Sometimes she speaks to me at svhool - sometimes not ! Then we were both an a nother friends house at Bonfire night and she was extremely weird - made a few chippy comments and barely spoke otherewise - I felt she was avoiding me on the whole which was actually fine with me. Same at Xmas at another friends house ! Then she emailed me to ask me to have another party and I thought "No - why should I when you are so rude ?" so I didn't answer the email.

I decided that I would adopt the attitude of speaking in a small talk way if she came up to me but I would make no effort to try to be friends with her anymore !

The second one - was the subject of another thread last week - basically someone in our group was trying to arrange a meet up at a pub with play garden in my village and asked me for recommendations. I gave them. Friend 2 then recommended another place which I loathe (dd had a bad experience with a bigger boy there last summer and we don't go there now) - and was really pushing to go there - so I said, quite truthfully - "you guys choose because to be honest I don't think we'll be able to make it as I have to make a work call" - to which she responded - copying to all "If I didn't know better I would think that email had been written by a 10 year old bitch !- are you having a bad day ?".

Now maybe I am being sensitive - but I feel that is farking rude and it is just the last straw for me with her I'm afraid. there have been lost of other rudenesses - but she is a rude person - so some I have let go - but I just feel that I have enough actual problems without getting into thjis kind of crap !!

I am knackered, I have a very stressful fulltime job and find juggling everythjing a mare at the moment, and I'm dieting, and we're moving house, and me and dh aren't getting on very well - so maybe it is me - but I just can't be arsed to be friends with people that cause stress !

NineUnlikelyTales - if only they were scruffs - unfortunately they are the skinny glamorous types - one is ex trolley dolly- one aleegedly ex model ! Both always immaculate whereas I am fat and frumpy !

Well if they are glamourous looking then I guarantee no one really does like them (women being what we are) Don't let yourself be intimidated by them, they really do sound horrible and I'm sure you're not the only person to notice.

Just find a few people to link arms with and skip round the playground singing "X and X are stinky poos" or something. Job done.

a job.
something to occupy their little brains/lives.

just "rise above it", don't react and be neutral - that will annoy them far more than anything!

Yep - whereas I am an ugly old boot on the outside and a lovely warm cuddly angel on the inside !! (and I am cleverer than them and have a career - Nerrr nerrr ne nerrr nerrr !!!)

Scatter, it is a well known fact that school runs should be re-named bitchfests for the most part.

I don't really bother myself with anyone at the school apart from the weather/class project/ ohhh how sweet new baby thing.
I did talk to one of the school run dads, but that got talked about.

I have worked out that for most of these women it is the highlight of their day some thing for before jerry Karl show and after Neighbours.

Just ignore these stupid women, leave them to their soaps and chat shows.
You sound like you have a lot in in your life, so maybe they are jealous, that you have a life and all they do is bitch at the school gates
