Help settle a debate.

Best British accent for me is northern Welsh. especially in men but I'm also a sucker for Geordie and a nice light brummie.

Love the Geordie accent

Blondielongie · 02/12/2017 23:30

I quite like northern Welsh too :)

steff13 · 02/12/2017 23:30

What's Benedict Cumberbatch? I like his accent.

WashingMatilda · 02/12/2017 23:31

I'm calling it early - I think Geordie is going to win the day

Though of course there is a wide range of Scottish accents. I pretty much love them all.

MamaMotherMummy · 02/12/2017 23:33

Scouse on women. Very very very posh Queen's English for men.

ItsAHardKn0ckLife1 · 02/12/2017 23:34

Geordie here Grin

I love the welsh accent, very sing song Smile

Alltheprettyseahorses · 02/12/2017 23:36

Scouse accent. No other accent comes close. Welsh and Scottish are nice too, but nothing comes near the wonderful Scouse twang.

IAmALionTamer · 02/12/2017 23:36

Another vote for Geordie here!! I don’t know anyone in real life who’s a Geordie and I can’t do the accent myself but I just bloody love it!

steff13 · 02/12/2017 23:37

I have a Welsh friend. His accent is lovely, and he's adorable.

As an American, I can sort of hear the difference between accidents, but probably not the way you all can. The only accent I've heard that I didn't like was the woman who played Bill on Doctor Who.

JollyWankers · 02/12/2017 23:38

Geordie because I'm Scottish and I like that they say aye and oot like I do.

grimeofthecentury · 02/12/2017 23:38

Fife or posh Yorkshire, north Yorkshire wealthy farmer to be precise

crumbsinthecutlerydrawer · 02/12/2017 23:39

I’m from Hampshire and love a Yorkshire accent.

Scottish, particularly Glaswegian. I also like a Geordie accent.

KC225 · 02/12/2017 23:40

I've been told I speak 'posh' buy think I am London but pronounce everything. I love Scottish, Welsh, Liverpool and Manchester (although not sure if that is a separate accent or just a very clever turn of phrase)

JollyWankers · 02/12/2017 23:42

That's simplifying it somewhat, I do like the accent as a whole but I do love that they talk a bit like me. There's nothing like "yupty" as a West of Scotland word to mean a whole phrase though.

JollyWankers · 02/12/2017 23:43

AndNoneForGretchenWieners I am fluent in Glaswegian!

Inadays · 02/12/2017 23:43

Adore the Georgie accent, and Liverpool accent but can't abide a Brummie accent.
