Shock When was this?

Maelstrop · 25/11/2017 19:40

Deliberately? If so, that’s GBH and I would definitely ask the police to arrest him.

WhoWants2Know · 25/11/2017 19:42

How old are they?

cakeymccakington · 25/11/2017 19:42

What?? What did the school do?

AfterSchoolWorry · 25/11/2017 19:42

Hell yes, call the police. Your poor dd. Brew

GertrudeCB · 25/11/2017 19:43

Call the police, it's a crime ! How old is your DD and how is she now ? Flowers

PinkHeart5914 · 25/11/2017 19:44

A girl at school broke my arm, she was a vicious little so and so. I can remember the police or school not being that interested I think all both done was ‘talk’ to her.

I hope your dd is as ok as she can be the poor love. Yes I’d absolutely try the police

LouHotel · 25/11/2017 19:44

Is this a wind up? Unless their 4 and was a freak accident why would you not call the police? X

Stormwhale · 25/11/2017 19:45

My reaction would very much depend on the age of the children involved. Under 10 I would not be contacting the police. Over 10, yes I most definitely would.

Fantasticmissfoxy · 25/11/2017 19:45

How? Why? Where? How old are the children involved?

cakeymccakington · 25/11/2017 19:46

When did this happen?

dameglittersparkles · 25/11/2017 19:46

I hope this isn't true 😞

asmuchuseasachocolatefireguard · 25/11/2017 19:47

Who goes to school on a Saturday?

wannabestressfree · 25/11/2017 19:47

Most children in private education...

deepestdarkestperu · 25/11/2017 19:47

Who goes to school on a Saturday?

Plenty of private schools have Saturday school. I went to school on Saturdays for years.

Cornettoninja · 25/11/2017 19:48

Shock what on earth happened? How old are they all?

whojamaflip · 25/11/2017 19:49

I had this happen when I was at school - played the incident down as I didn't want to cause a fuss 😕 the bullying ramped up afterwards and the boy in question ended up with a restraining order and had to sit his GCSEs elsewhere after things became really nasty - sexual bullying and leaving my home number in phoneboxes with a list of services offered Shock

Police told me I should have reported the wrist incident and it might have nipped everything in the bud - 30 years later it still affects me and I've been left with lasting fear and mental health issues due to it.

Please please please report it - anything to stop another person going through what I did 😟

If it was deliberate (not, say, accidentally running into her and knocking her down), of course you should report it. In the end you'll be doing him a favour as he has to recognise violence has consequences. What are the school doing about it?

happypoobum · 25/11/2017 20:01

Unless he is at least ten there is nothing the police can do.

If he is ten or over, yes I would call police if it was deliberate. If it was an accident then there isn't much you can do Sad

SoupDragon · 25/11/2017 20:11

There is no way anyone can say whether you should call the police as we have no idea what happened.

MistressoftheYoniverse · 25/11/2017 20:14

Ok let me explain...
My daughter came home yesterday afternoon, she was given a lift by a friends dad because she was in distress...@ school a boy in her year kicked her in the hand it was deliberate ..it was swollen and painful she's in year 10...a friend went up to him to tell him off he laughed..no apology...we did what you do..kept her arm elevated ..iced and pain killers...took her today to the community hospital and got an x-ray....her wrist is broken..I'm at hospital all day Monday..but I will be calling the school...

Year 10 = call the police. It’s assault, there are witnesses.

Iamcheeseman · 25/11/2017 20:18

If he deliberately kicked her hand with such force to break it and when she was distressed showed no remorse I'd call the police! Year 10 is old enough and big enough to take responsibility for your actions! Report it to the police tomorrow. Then go in to school Monday and inform them you have already reported it to the police. They may take thinks more seriously then too instead of brushing it under the carpet like many try to do.
