I rarely read, and never respond to these nasty and aggressive OPs, except to say this : such posters go round looking for offence and want to rile everybody up with hate in the process. But they are so "fuming" (thats another word they like to use) with self-righteousness that this fact somehow escapes them.

If you wanted to give your kids a lifetime of mental health problems, then I would say this is a perfect way to go about it.

Ugh. What a nasty man. I didn't read the article but get the gist from the posts on here.

I hadn't really heard of him until recently when he did a series on amazing hotels with that chef lady who does Masterchef (I can't remember her name). It was a really interesting series but he was just an utter tool.

The facts are that whoever is commissioning his work likes it, and whoever is reading it must like it too, because you don't continue to get published if nobody enjoys your writing.
So whether any of us find it accpetable or funny or whatever, plenty of people must do.

I used to roar at Giles’ restaurant reviews in the Times. Yes, he has been hysterical in his day. He will not look back on his Esquire patch with pride. Googled him. Some shockers.

He is quite funny in part, but not always, and he is sexist and not feminist enough for me. However he presumably has bills to pay so has to churn this stuff out to feed the children.
I don't understand why they have to feed the boy junk food however. If the only food in the house is good food children eat only that - they never let themselves starve.

I suppose what I'm saying is that I don't get the adulation for Victoria that's regularly trotted out here and elsewhere - she's essentially your average over-privileged, well-educated, moderately talented person.
