I have a bath every day and wash my hair every other day.

BulletFox · 04/11/2017 12:17

Favourite check the advent calenders, the unicorn detritus is in there. HTH.

PortiaCastis · 04/11/2017 12:19

Fermentation of the fanny is a bit whiffy and does not encourage cunning action.
I have a bath when it's a leap year and a shower on every quarter day, yep I'm on a wind up too

Rachel0Greep · 04/11/2017 12:21

I get mine off eBay. £69.99 for 250ml. They do last a whole week though so pretty good value. My silly husband questioned how genuine they were - perhaps, he suggested, they were merely tears from a griffin or Minotaur - but the seller has 100% positive feedback so I told him to wind his neck in!

Thanks for that. Will search eBay. Do they keep well? I won't be using them until Christmas 2018, if even then...

JacquesHammer · 04/11/2017 12:29

It doesn't have to be grim.

I'm currently showering twice a week as I've had an accident and can't do it without help.

In between I'm having a strip wash - nethers and pits.

I'm definitely not stinky!

When I'm fighting fit I have a bath or shower every other day (So shower to wash hair one day, long soak in bath the next)

Fermentation of the fanny Grin

Rachel
Keep them out of direct sunlight to avoid evaporation. Generally speaking, liquids last longer at lower temperatures so the fridge is a good place. Although do mark them not for human consumption as they have been known to induce heavy wind.

I have a shower every day, and I wash my hair every 3 days usually. I never bath, I hate bathing.

FavouriteParksAreCarParks · 04/11/2017 12:37

Oh unicorn tears are (almost!) immortal. They last the same length as a contract with Scientology - one billion years.

Cockmagic · 04/11/2017 12:39

My showers broke at the moment.

I bathe every evening and was hair every other day.

I have depression sometimes it's an effort but it must be done. I'd feel grim if I was you op.

AstridWhite · 04/11/2017 12:46

Seriously, you have friends who think washing twice a week is too much?

Have I just fallen down some sort of 16th century rabbit hole?

PortiaCastis · 04/11/2017 12:52

I hope you've got a water meter OP because why the hell should you be charged the same for your water as er up the road who has 5 kids and bathes them all daily

cushioncovers · 04/11/2017 14:08

I genuinely don't understand the idea of a strip wash?

A strip wash is an old fashioned way of washing with water in a sink with a flannel.* Before combi boilers became commonplace most people had a water tank, an airing cupboard and an emersion heater and it was expensive to keep reheating the whole tank of water and when the tank of water was used up there was no more hot water until the whole tank had of fresh water had heated up. Which could take an hour or more. The emersion tank which was usually positioned in the loft was very expensive to heat up and was used occasionally rather than daily. So if you were last in line for a bath you had to have a strip wash instead.* This was common in my experience of growing up in the 70’s 80’s and early 90’s

cushioncovers · 04/11/2017 14:13

Bloody hell don’t know why my posts keep coming up in bold halfway down

UsernameTaken2 · 04/11/2017 14:14

Migraleve because I wash everyday the water isn't that dirty!

squoosh · 04/11/2017 14:18

Out for drinks with friends and you spend the evening talking about showering habits? Fun night out with you galz!

catsarenice · 04/11/2017 14:22

I shower and hair wash every 2 to 3 days and on the inbetween days I wash at the basin (face, neck, armpits, downstairs lady bits). Can't imagine not washing pits n' bits every day!

Jolonglegs · 04/11/2017 14:24

I shower every morning, usually after a run if I can get up early enough. Then another shower in the evening to wash work off. Knicks are changed after every shower. I wash my hair 2/3 times a week. The rest of the family is similar, and yes the house is on a meter.
I don't understand how anyone can only wash twice per week! When I was little, we washed ourselves every day, but only had a bath once per week.

HamSandWitches · 04/11/2017 14:24

Daily shower either night or morning but have a job which makes you stink. Would probably do every other day if I had a normal job.

When I was a kid you had a bath once a week on a Sunday and a good wash down every morning.

HERinFLAT2 · 04/11/2017 14:27

I shower everyday and 1-3 times per day if I’m menstruating. I don’t feel right if I don’t have a shower everyday in the morning when I wake up.

Mumoftwoyoungkids · 04/11/2017 14:30

I genuinely don't understand the idea of a strip wash? Surely it's more hassle than a shower, how do you rinse without getting water all over the floor? So many questions!

This. Surely a shower or bath is easier. The shower / bath does most of the work for you.!

Unless you have a leg in plaster I guess.

Personally I shower and hair wash every day. Teeth twice a day. Generally bath / go swimming at least once a week as I like the idea of being “soaked”. (Plus I like swimming.) Despite all the showering I still suspect I smell slightly of chlorine for a few days post swimming as no matter what I do I can’t get the smell off!

Belleoftheball8 · 04/11/2017 14:30

Well done op you made the sun

NachoFries · 04/11/2017 14:38

I wash once in a blue moon Easter Grin I smell like rainbows and unicorns

Funnyonion17 · 04/11/2017 14:39

I shower or bath every day and often do bits and pits as needed before bed etc.

I should imagine those who don't bath or shower daily are still washing, in which case still clean. You don't need to wash your entire body daily not to smell, just certain areas for hygeine reasons. I mostly have a bath as I enjoy it, but I doubt if smell if I just strip washed most days

expatinspain · 04/11/2017 14:40

Shower in the morning and usually the evening too, but I live in a warm country and walk a lot. When I was in England, shower in the morning only.
