What the actual fuck?! I have just joined mumsnet and can say I will be leaving it after the negativity I've experienced. I joined expecting women helping women.
Women encouraging other women. Whether that's with their children, their marriage or their careers?! 'Insta mums' are mums who have decided a career in instagramming! And why the fuck not?! Before you ask no I am not an insta mum. Not that I wouldn't want to be - I just can't be bothered to tidy. But they do! They make their homes beautiful and enjoy decorating and showing their efforts off. Other women are inspired and they can bring many other women joy and happiness. Who are you bringing joy and happiness too? Going into the internet and plastering negative energy and bitter comments is not helpful, not nice and not at all fucking productive! You bitch about these women spending their days cleaning and shopping and not 'caring for thier kids' but how are you fucking idiots any better?!? Your too busy slagging off other hard working women to get your kicks. It's sad. Pathetic and downright bullying.
Something's that have been posted have hurt 'insta mums' and have caused upset - what have they actually done to you?? You are no better than the disgusting internet trolls who target celebrities or others who are slightly better looking or better off than yourselves. Get a grip.

Anyway back to the thread....I see fod is using a filter in his stories now 😂. I’m also loving papa pukka’s take over. His eyebrows video had me in stitches!

@Mumofkids You’re so right. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out. At the very least, I’m hoping for tougher regulation on social media advertising and rights for children.

Papa Pukka has been SO refreshing. He seems to find it all a little bit awkward and is more than happy to laugh at himself.

He is great such a likeable personality. Less fame hungry than other partners!

@MessySoVeryMessy I don't write like a blogger or look like a blogger. I just communicate clearly, I'm not rude and I make sure I put on some makeup.
It might be a generational thing? Are you older then me? Perhaps you didn't get taught to write the same way as me.

How would I know what you look like? Sadly I haven't yet gained the ability to see through the internet.

You haven't made everyone agree with you by attempting to put an end to open discussion of valid points and actually you are now doing what you've been accusing everyone else of doing. I didn't see anyone attack your looks, and it's so easy for people to be offended by words on the internet and take things different to the way they were intended. I do think perhaps some of your choice of words can be maybe taken in a negative way and open discussion of these brands on Instagram is a good thing in my opinion where children are concerned. But I didn't mean to turn in anyway personal, I can see you feel got at which is a shame when discussion can be productive. You obviously came and posted as a genuine person and not a blogger, so your intent was to spread positivity.

It must be generational? Most of us on here would be from the same generation. I think only one poster was 60+. Anyway, why are you bringing age into this?

On another note, whats the deal with muthahood? Is she a single mum? I’ve only watched one of her stories then got bored. I don’t k ow how these people can talk at their phones? It’s just weird! I hate talking over the phone in crowded places! Can’t imagine doing it while walking etc

Mutha.hood is not single, I kind of like her as she seems very genuine and someone who was very unhappy in herself but has made real positivity through Instagram. She's very tall and clearly had suffered with her own confidence so seems very grateful for the confidence, support has given her. It seems quite infectious and she's a bit bonkers.

The whole phone talking is weird. I can only imagine that it's something you get the hang of very quickly as so many people do a lot of it! Is it the grown up equivalent of singing into a hairbrush in the mirror?

WTAF? People actually make money doing ....what, exactly? Nit being a mum I'd not heard of this until I read this thread. I can't believe grown adult would be so shallow and crass. I really hope their children grow up to sue the pants off them for the years of exploitation.

@auditqueen good point. Surely when your kids work you can't just have the money? It didn't work out well for McCauley Culkin did it! Although they'll get even more self entitled if they are compared to him. Perhaps a bit borderline but seriously why don't they addresss the use of their cute children?!

@Flamingoringo That was me that said FOD made it his mission to get more followers than his wife - he ( and MOD) admitted to that on a podcast I heard recently - pretty sure if was the Scummy Mummies one. Really didn't make me kindly disposed to him.
