Has anyone got married or know anyone who has had their wedding ceremony/reception on the 39th floor ay the gherkin building in London?

My first thought was 'yummy, I love gherkins'
My second thought was I hope no one ever invites me to a gherkin wedding as I'd be petrified of being 39 floors up!

Doesn't sound that romantic, does it? "You are invited to a Gherkin wedding." I'd also be disappointed at the lack of pickles.

I sort of think a gherkin-themed wedding at the Gherkin would be awesome. You could have sweet churro ones as an alternative to savoury, and the view would be immense.

How epic would that be? You could have gherkin themed cocktails, a giant gherkin wedding cake, green table decorations......... Grin

I was hoping someone was marrying two gherkins. Like sticking googly eyes on them and crocheting a little wedding dress and suit for them. Maybe a small broccoli floret for a bouquet.

Then doing a fancy photoshoot.

Clearly OP, if you end up hiring the Gherkin, you need to really commit to the theme. Your wedding colours are green, green, and vinegar.

Yep, made me want to eat gherkins too, or more specifically cornichons.

Searcy's at the Gherkin is brilliant. Was there for my birthday last year. I'd definitely consider it as a wedding venue - especially if it's not December and therefore super cloudy which kind of destroys the view!
