To think Brigitte Macron is a pedophile

Apologies if this subject has been done before. But I came across an article where Brigitte Macron describes her love affair with her then 15 year old pupil where she goes on to say "when we became lovers is our secret".

AIBU to think this woman is a pedophile?

She actively groomed her FIFTEEN year old pupil. How is she different to Jeremy Forrest who was jailed for having a relationship with his pupil?

It is beyond disgusting.

I think the dynamic is different.

The French leave them to it, and observe the very strict privacy laws, whereas in the US, well anything goes.

I will not comment on Ivana Trump, she came back from NY to be in the WH. Trailing spouse optics indeed.

Will leave it at that.

Macron's parents have been vocal about their upset over their relationship. His mother begged Brigitte to leave him alone but she refused. It caused a hell of a scandal which Macron himself acknowledged in his wedding speech.

To address the question of why his parents didn't file a criminal complaint, consider that having had high ambitions for his future, they would have weighed the consequences of bringing a court case against Brigitte. It would have most likely ended his political career before it had even begun. It is likely that they sacrificed their natural parental instincts so not to spoil his political future.

'Since entering the Elysée Palace in May, the 39-year-old president has settled two bills from a personal makeup artist called Natacha M; one for €10,000 and another for €16,000.'

Just read that!

INFP, it might be to avoid a "Juliet killed herself so Romeo is distraught for the rest of his life or Romeo will also kill himself scenario." Except that Juliet here is a 41 year old married mother of 3 who didn't have to entertain an intimate relationship with her 16 year old drama student.

INFP

Exactly.

I said it earlier, it was all sorted and they didn't give a fig about anyone. Their son's progress was everything.

Good on them I say. There is too much tut tutting about everyone these days. They bucked the trend. And are still together, and he is gorgeous, and she has great legs.

See how daft it all is really. But he is the President of the Republique now and can do what he likes for four years.

Beard or not, who cares. I won't be worrying about them ever. But I love a bit of gossip, can't help it!

expatinscotland · 26/08/2017 18:40

He was groomed. That's vile no matter what the person's gender is. I wouldn't be happy if that happened to either my son or daughter. He's forgone having children, too, due to his old wife. Maybe he never wanted them, but hey, he wouldn't have had time to decide that for himself in adulthood because he was hitched up with someone too old to have them from the time he was a teenager. I wonder how many who are shrugging about this would be happy if such a thing happened to their son or daughter.

sunglassally · 26/08/2017 18:42

I think we have to look on it from a French judicial perspective.

Some might think it is awful, but the law has not intervened, and he is the Prez.

Gaelle1 · 26/08/2017 18:42

expatinscotland, that would be good question for sunglassalley although I truly doubt that he is a parent.

Gaelle1 · 26/08/2017 18:43

sunglassalley, "we have to look on it from a French judicial perspective." WTF are you on about? French judicial perspective???

expatinscotland · 26/08/2017 18:46

'expatinscotland, that would be good question for sunglassalley although I truly doubt that he is a parent.'

Gaelle , one has only to look at certain posters' posting history to realise they are basically just GFs. Best not to indulge them Smile.

INFP · 26/08/2017 18:46

Sunglassally, I wholly disagree that the President of France being the product of a fucked up upbringing whose wife is a child abuser albeit with nice legs is none of anybody's business.

Expat is right. Let's not engage with a known GF.

sunglassally · 26/08/2017 18:49

Gaell,

Why did the parents not report this at the time or since?

Reasonable Q I would have thought.

They seem to have accepted it.

Didn't they?

Anyway, they have a son who the President of the Republique for another four years, and the youngest to do it.

So they may just shrug and say fine.

BabychamSocialist · 26/08/2017 18:52

Jesus some of the comments on here. No matter what you think of her, describing her as looking like "beef jerky" and making comments about her appearance aren't on. What happened to feminism, where your appearance shouldn't enter into it?

sunglassally · 26/08/2017 18:53

What is a GF? I honestly don't know, but I reckon it is not complimentary!

And can anyone tell me why anyone would bother checking out another person's posting history to know this or anything else.

Honestly. WTAF.

sunglassally · 26/08/2017 18:54

Babycham

Women can be their own worst enemies, it is obvious that it is envy in this case

spinassienne · 26/08/2017 18:56

France and the French do not care about sex no matter where or when really.

Yes, sixty million people who all share exactly the same attitude to sex Hmm

INFP · 26/08/2017 18:57

I think you are all on the vino now.

Anyway, tomorrow it will be something else to get riled about.

What's a GF please, A PP said that about me, but I always thought it meant Girlfriend!

OMG. Help needed now. And I am sure it is so obvious but what the heck.

Je suis Brigitte et Macron.

InsomniacAnonymous · 26/08/2017 19:14

GF = Goady Fucker

lilylivers · 26/08/2017 19:15

I think you are being a bit disingenuous here really.

expatinscotland · 26/08/2017 19:17

' think you are all on the vino now. '

Of course, or it's our hormones Hmm. 'Just jealous' - nope. I'm 46, I get jealous of people with campervans, not warped people my age attracted to teenagers.

INFP · 26/08/2017 21:24

It is unfathomable that Macron has billed the taxpayer €26,000 for 3 months worth of make-up.

Go figure.
