Thanks for the new thread. Have posted most of the previous threads, but have name-changed. I and Scottish but have both American (mostly democrat all but 1 horrified by Trump) and UK relatives (outside of my immediate family (DH, DCs they are mostly Tory, UKIP, Brexit supporting).
Uk relatives are shrugging shoulders and wondering why I'm getting worked up about white supremacist marchers in another continent- they've swallowed the whole moral equivalence thing, hook line and sinker... all the protesters were in the wrong... you can't stop people marching just because you disagree with their views (and therefore), the anti march protesters brought this on themselves, they provoked it.
They don't see either, that what happens in America affects us here in the UK (and the rest of the world) too, and they think this is America's business, none of our concern. I despair
