Help me remember this cereal!

You have been warned!
I was in the cereal aisle recently and suddenly had a flash back to an awesome cereal, probably around late 90's, I used to love and now I have a massive craving for it.
All I remember is that it was squares, they weren't flat, they were puffed up a bit, they didn't have anything inside them like blueberry wheats do, in fact I don't think they were made of wheat, they were more sugary than that. Kind of yellowey in colour.

Oh god they were so good. Probably discontinued now which is fine but it's driving me mad!

FizzyBubbly · 01/08/2017 08:54

I know the ones you mean. Like little puffed up square pillows. This is going to really bug me now!

honeysucklejasmine · 01/08/2017 08:54

I know the ones you mean. They were sweet... Oh god, what were they called?

WashingMatilda · 01/08/2017 08:57

Thank god it's not just me!
Definley not golden grahams or cinnamon toasts. I'll have a look at oat crunchies.
Pretty sure it's been discontinued back while now or I would have had my memory jogged IYKWIM

That's really spooky my nanny was talking about the exact same thing the other day! We googled for ages trying to find what they were called but couldn't find them. She said she ate a lot of crappy sugary cereal as a kid and was trying to remember them all. We saw some Kellogs Start in B and M which she used to have which is what got the conversation going....... I only ever had weetbix and warm milk as cereal as a kid (as did and still do many a kiwi kid!).

ShatnersWig · 01/08/2017 09:00

I've never forgiven Kellogg's for getting rid of the original Special K that looked a bit like flattened Rice Krispies in the early 80s for the stuff it is now.

WashingMatilda · 01/08/2017 09:01

mybootsaremuddy that's bloody weird!

Not oat crunchies, they were much less healthy looking than those.
If I really focus I can actually remember the taste and texture.
Gaaahhh!!

Own brand supermarket Special K is very like the original. The Waitrose one is definitely like the original before it was changed. We call it 'Special Choices' but she that's not its proper name!!

DumptonPark · 01/08/2017 09:09

I'm sure it was Oat Krunchies but they looked different. I found this on another site
