You have been warned!
I was in the cereal aisle recently and suddenly had a flash back to an awesome cereal, probably around late 90's, I used to love and now I have a massive craving for it.
All I remember is that it was squares, they weren't flat, they were puffed up a bit, they didn't have anything inside them like blueberry wheats do, in fact I don't think they were made of wheat, they were more sugary than that. Kind of yellowey in colour.

Oh god they were so good. Probably discontinued now which is fine but it's driving me mad!

dumpton yeah I've seen that photo a few times now with my incessant googling, but I'm sure it's not them. These were more smooth and brighter yellow. No pattern or ridges on them.

They weren't made of oat or what, more synthetic than that.

I remember something like you're describing from my childhood...Golden Nuggets? Packaging and adverts had a pirate theme.

IrnBrufan · 01/08/2017 09:15

These?

They were the yellow of corn pops !

Aspieparent · 01/08/2017 09:16

Could it be these?

Also thought it maybe a supermarket own brand cereal.

Perhaps The Ceral Killer Cafe might be able to help ?

AgeingDurannie · 01/08/2017 09:21

Frosted Wheats?

WashingMatilda · 01/08/2017 09:21

Nope, none of those.
Chex have a pattern on them and these didn't.
Hidden treasures have a filling and golden nuggets are round.

It's not going to happen, is it?
I may end myself today.

"Bring me honey, bring me aaaaaaappples, bring me hazelnuts, bring me wheat. Bring me good things to eeeeeeat, in Kellogg's Country Store'

Utterly delicious and much missed

SquitMcJit · 01/08/2017 09:25

A sideline, but I believe that the golden nuggets bloke was a prospector - not a pirate. Hence his discovery of "golden" nuggets?

As you were.

WashingMatilda · 01/08/2017 09:27

Aha Squit you're right! Went straight over my head as a kid 😄

QuimReaper · 01/08/2017 09:32

Oh I remember them! I'm pretty sure I'm remembering Chex though. Very yellow and crumbly, so bits would float off into the milk?

QuimReaper · 01/08/2017 09:33

Mine might have had latticing though, so maybe not the same one.

SpareChangeDownTheSofa · 01/08/2017 09:34

Was it this one?
