.....shampoo!

That's how exciting my life is Grin

Being a SAHM with 5% social time I find myself getting excited over little things!

Does anyone else get excited over little things or am I just alone in this?

This is going to make sound a hell of a lot sadder than I actually am but the other day, I was a bit excited that the Kleenex man sized tissues had a newly design box. Hmm

Mycarsmellsoflavender · 29/07/2017 14:17

5%? That's more than an hour per day Grin

Mycarsmellsoflavender · 29/07/2017 14:19

Know what you mean though. I actually enjoy choosing the new school uniform at this time of year. Now where shall I go - ASDA, Tesco or Sainsbury's? I think I need a job...

lljkk · 29/07/2017 14:19

me!! I put a pic of my new kettle on Facebook. Just a boring electric kettle (that matches my toaster). DH scoffed. The pic got 20 likes. Ha!

HarmlessChap · 29/07/2017 14:21

I got very excited about some merino wool socks in the winter.

Keepthebloodynoisedown · 29/07/2017 14:26

Crunchymum · 29/07/2017 14:30

PuntasticUsername · 29/07/2017 14:34

I get excited when it's time to go shopping and pick new shampoo or shower gel! I just love it. All the different colours and scents, it's such fun.

doobree · 29/07/2017 14:34

I understand. I sometimes get a little thrill about the free elastic band that you get if there are 2 stalks of broccoli! :)

limitedperiodonly · 29/07/2017 14:38

I am still on a high from getting a Hello Fresh box for tagliatelle with prawns and serrano ham reduced from £10 to £2.49 in Sainsbury's last night.

FanwankTheAbsurd · 29/07/2017 14:42

I get excited if the postman leaves the elastic band on a bundle of bills letters....ooh free elastic band that I'll never use

MrsOverTheRoad · 29/07/2017 14:44

Doobree me too! Grin I stash them and feel a bit smug!

MrsOverTheRoad · 29/07/2017 14:45

Fanwank I used one the other day! I fastened two half used rolls of wrapping paper together with one!

pinkblink · 29/07/2017 14:52

Crunchy that is the actual highlight of my life!! I love a Zara delivery for my boys ❤

sidesplittinglol · 29/07/2017 14:54

Glad to hear I'm not alone!

Clothing delivery for the kids also gets me excited!

I used to get excited about stationary delivery at work.

I have a collection of elastic bands - the thick ones from post and the thin ones off bunches of spring onions. They come in handy. I don't understand why anyone pays for elastic bands. It's like sellotape. I clearly remember the first Christmas after leaving my office job when I had to buy a roll. Luckily I work part time in an office now so I'm okay for sellotape, paperclips, staples and biros again.

doobree · 29/07/2017 15:14

Yay! my people :) My dream as a child (aiming low!) was to have an eleastic band ball - somehow the band ball still isn;t veyr big though?!?!?!

Free elstic bands are a double win aren't they - when you get one, then AGAIN when you use one! Love it :)

goatface · 29/07/2017 15:19

I got excited at the different designed tins on the azera coffee today Hmm

AndHoldTheBun · 29/07/2017 15:34

I got very excited yesterday when my Amazon Pantry box arrived. It was mainly full of standard grocery items with a few treats (we were sentba money off voucher to use the service for the first time). It was like 5 minutes of Christmas un-boxing it all BlushGrin

LeakyLittleBoat · 29/07/2017 15:41

A big reel of twist-tie in shipping yesterday, you can cut off the exact length you need to twist-tie things shut/together. Ooh also the huge roll of bubble wrap that was in perforated sheets you can rip off - like a giant toilet roll! I don't think they'll ask the front office to help out next time they get a big rush order they have to get out though because we all spent more time getting excited about all the cool packaging gizmos (heat sealers are the bloody business) and supplies they have than actually bagging and tagging stuff. My boss got very carried away with the paint pens.

sidesplittinglol · 29/07/2017 15:46

My delivery arrived yay! But only part of it.

I'm always losing elastic bands and forget to collect them!

This is one of the best threads I've ever read!!
I get excited when my Ebay buys arrive!
And I got way way too excited when we had a tumble dryer installed, I made a video of me dancing by it and sent it to everyone I know......... no one cared haha

redfragglebiker · 29/07/2017 16:13

I got excited by a new hoover (we replaced a clapped out cheapy with a Dyson - I was thrilled) My latest excitement was a new fragrance in the deodorant I buy. Not sure if I should be ashamed of that one. Blush

limitedperiodonly · 29/07/2017 16:14

We went on the dullest school trip in the world to a sorting office and the only thing anyone was interested in was collecting elastic bands to make bouncy balls out of doobree

CigarsofthePharoahs · 29/07/2017 16:32

I've done quite a lot of Amazon ordering recently. Mostly involves supplies for decorations for a friends wedding.
Oh the excitement when 11 rolls of blue organza turned up! Or the lovely crystals for the center pieces… Its not my wedding but its exciting.
Still pales into insignificance to when I do an online grocery shop though. It just feels so terribly indulgent! I love collecting up the carrier bags so I can hand them back next time.
I'm going to be doing more online grocery shopping over the school holidays. Grin
