.....shampoo!

That's how exciting my life is Grin

Being a SAHM with 5% social time I find myself getting excited over little things!

Does anyone else get excited over little things or am I just alone in this?

We just discovered that Dove Colour Radiance shampoo and conditioners smells just like whatever our hairdresser uses. Both dd(15) and myself were well chuffed.

Andrewofgg · 29/07/2017 20:20

Am I cheating if I say that I am excited about the delivery early in September of the next baby in the family?

Oldraver · 29/07/2017 20:22

I've ordered a birthday card for the cats second birthday.

Oh will give me the look

starsorwater · 29/07/2017 20:27

Puffin I stocked up just after the change- there were still online companies with stock. It sometimes comes up on ebay too, and when it does I restock.

I am looking forwards to getting new laundry baskets soon. The current cheapo Ikea ones were a temporary "proof of concept" purchase when we moved into our house (>10 years ago, ahem Blush). The good news is that separating the laundry, lights & darks, delicates & boil wash, really works. Grin

I was really excited about cooking dinner today since I finally got round to wiring in the new cooker that got delivered 3 days ago Blush
I get excited about so much of the stuff mentioned here. Any sort of delivery at all, new stationery, new clothes for the kids and buying stuff for the kids all gives me a thrill.
Dh would make fun of me for it but he gets excited for the big spring declutter and clean we do every year and is always more excited about going to see whatever the latest disney movie is than ds is so he can't say anything.

Lizibet · 29/07/2017 20:49

Buying stuff for the house as well... very little is more exciting than picking out the perfect bedding to match the kids rooms or walking into a cooking store

I have been collecting the little jars of herbs and spices from Sainsburys and I smile every time I see them lined up on the shelf.

I almost jump for joy when I spot a rubber band on the drive. The postie always seems to leave them here, never see them next door. I started a rubber band ball too, it is still quite small.

I love sitting down with the Lidl magazine to plan what I'll buy the next week.

sidesplittinglol · 29/07/2017 21:00

Congratulations Andrew Smile

Ok kids are finally asleep and now I'm excited to use said shampoo!

Very disappointed that Amazon has not delivered my second delivery and sent me an email saying it won't arrive until 4/8. HmmSad

Oh I must go see about the Dove shampoo now!

I'm excited about dd's new bag being delivered tomorrow. It's a backpack in the shape of a shark with its mouth open. Ds has one with spikes and is meant to be a dinosaur. I don't know why I'm so excited because it's not going to be me who is using it until it gets too heavy and I'm lumbered with it asking with everything else whilst out walking - I suppose I'm just looking forward to seeing her face when she gets it!

I'm having a mount and a frame being delivered on Monday for a photo I had printed. It's massive (2'x3') and will take up most of our wall but it will suit the room so well. I can't wait until it's up!

TwatteryFlowers · 29/07/2017 21:10

That "asking" was meant to say "along"... Hmm

Kpo58 · 29/07/2017 21:14

I went to Costco today. Now that was exciting. DD (15 months) was very good about it, but got rather bored.

Gotanewusernamenow · 29/07/2017 21:15

I got excited about a few summer tops I got with my birthday money.............still waiting to wear them!!
Sad

SquedgieBeckenheim · 29/07/2017 21:21

I get excited about shopping for clothes for the children, the idea of shopping for me fills me with dread.

LeakyLittleBoat · 29/07/2017 22:38

Found a new flavour of my cats' favourite treat range AND a lovely new colour packet today! We also went to Costco - they have a new lemon flavour biscotti, even DH got a bit excited about that. We couldn't decide between them and the almond chocolate dipped ones we usually get so we got both.

HateSummer · 29/07/2017 22:41

I got excited by the self scanner at Tesco the other day. It saves me time AND money. I don't have to pack quickly whilst the assistant throws my food at me. I arrange everything neatly as I shop. I can scan products to find the price when there's no price sign! Life is sad.

morningconstitutional2017 · 30/07/2017 08:45

I always feel good when I've changed the bedclothes (top and bottom) and it feels nice, especially with a clean new nightie as well.

doobree · 30/07/2017 09:48

Morning all! I love all your stories :)

I'm going to add the delight at a boiled egg with toast on a Sunday morning. If you add ham/ eggs benedict then that is me in heaven :)

AndromedaPerseus · 30/07/2017 09:49

When I find something a lovely nearly new piece of clothing which fits perfectly in a chazzer shop for a few pounds

FanwankTheAbsurd · 30/07/2017 09:56

I want both a shark AND a dinosaur backpack now. I do have a fluffy bagpuss backpack already though.

Both dd and I got very overexcited at the New Guinea pig designs released by cath kidston Blush we may have ordered a nice big box full Blush

LovelyBath77 · 30/07/2017 14:22

I like it when I order books from Amazon and they arrive in the little cardboard wrapper, like a present!

Going to the library in town also for books and the free coffee in Waitrose next door.

Shampoos and shower gels, unwrapping new Dove soaps.

Brushing teeth! - haha. Now I can do these after having small children - uninterrupted. Such a joy.

Epsom salts and lavender in the bath.

Walking in the park.

Swimming.

jennielou75 · 30/07/2017 14:34

I rather enjoyed our delivery of loo rolls from amazon! We get them on subscription every two months. I rather enjoyed filling up our storage with them and having some spare!
